  1. wow 20 managers since i first went, guess id have to put pards behind joe harvey, but i was far too young to understand at the time. Since the early 80s when I started going with mates, away games, season tickets etc, he has a good case for third best. tho i still rate Authur Cox ahead of pards just now.we never got to see his football in the first division.
  2. this is a disgrace- theres a canny few colour blind folk here ye kna.
  3. nope- its a precursor to Stus Victory parade hes been planning for a while. good to see aussiefag can read - even went to the effort of writing an intro to the OP just for him. Denied. joking aside- when will you claim the argument is won- or is it already? Couple of seasons of stability would be a start! Multiple qualification for Europe, a few decent cup runs (would be nice to go to Wembley again, this time without having the opposition's 12th player in our team) and a manager who does at least 3 seasons. Given the state of football at the moment, that's putting him just behind KK and SBR as 'good times' for a NUFC supporter in recent times, non? Agreed. and Im going back to the 70s

  10. Probably because he works for Newcastle and the club won't let him play as KK is managing. The game wasn't allowd to be played at SJP for that reason ffs That's pathetic. I think its time wor Kev started his own club in Newcastle like the wimbledon fans did. somebody needs to tell NUSC they dont need to buy Ashleys club- just start thier own off- and build from the bottom. theres definately room for a keegans club in newcastle. edit Cajun- I think its Kenny Daglish

tbh this whole debate is because the product- ie matchday experience is simply too expensive- its overpriced. Also the subject of another thread- TV football is too expensive and people are trying to find ways round that. For me the clubs and premier league are in danger of killing the goose that layed the Golden Egg. If the crowds continue to dwindle, if they disregard the Matchday revenues in favour of other sources of income, TV, advertising etc, in my opinion, the product will become less attractive/ sell-able round the world if its played in quiet half empty stadiums. They are making all thier money selling the most exciting vibrant etc etc league to the world- they need a crowd in the background , and need to wake up to this.

Reminds me of a couple of years ago lovely sunset over ullswater, nice warm evening just sitting having a drink by the lake, lots decent people milling about, a few nice boats tied to a jetty. Then a noise approches, half house bricks rocks and boulders are hurled at the boats in the jetty, hitting water , jetty boats the lot, turned round - the noise was wearing a Mackem top, and noises dad, on a hot evening had a 80s style black leather jacket, 80s gay tash, and old style bad fitting jeans, and slip on placky shoes totally out of place, pennywell visits the Lakes.
