Was it Richard Hughes? The Liverpool guy?

Good. Let the genius rest and recover.

Mitchell's CV wasn't all that IMO. Respectable but nothing more.
Son, Mane and Van Dijk were already well known, and we had been in for Dele Alli at the same time as Spurs.
He jumped from role to role without really doing any stint for more than a couple of years if I'm not wrong?
It's ridiculous to say this also, but even visually didn't fit the overall picture being the scruffy chubster that he is :))

Best season of my life, even though from a playing perspective it often wasn’t. Genuine miracle that Howe has achieved this, although this is who he is as a coach, absolutely top drawer
Best manager we've had in my lifetime. King Kev and SBR will always be up there of course. But Eddie Howe has surpassed all expectations and has given us what we've craved for a long long time.

Champions League and a Trophy! The stuff of dreams!

How are their injuries looking? Konsa suspended is good.

Absolute baller this kid. What a fantastic coup!

Never been this excited about a transfer window in all my years on these forums. Joined the previous version in 2003 when HTT was still writing mega tl;dr posts. Bruno Guimaraes man wtf.
Hope we bring in at least 3 after Dan Burn. We deserve this!

Excellent win! I wish Wood had connected with ASM's knockdown for an easier end to the match. The passing phase in the last few minutes was excellent. Once we reduce the stupid mistakes we'll be a much sturdier outfit. Break now and a few more signings and hopefully smash Everton.

Its not the first time. He was caught out so many times from the wingers against Watford too. Dummett isnt a great defender, decent in the air, but slow, terrible marking. No wonder the left got safer when Manq came in and fucked Raphina off.
Yup. Because he's not a LB. Not any more. CB or nothing for us IMO.

Manquillo wow what a "cameo" in that second half. Total shut down of Leeds' right side. Superb!
-
Know nothing about this lad. Is he basically a BTEC Sterling?
-
I hope we sign him as looks like a freakishly good prospect for his age.
-
No issues at all with this signing. A player of his type was needed in our arsenal even before Wilson's injury.
The only issue I have is that I'm slightly suspicious of Burnley agreeing to the move (some are reporting his clause is for summer window), in case he has an injury or a physical problem somewhere. Hopefully our medical team is qualified enough to spot anything untoward.

I don't see what Howe can do with him when ASM doesn't know what he's going to do next 99% of the time.
How do you coach an absolute wildcard into an effective team player?
As I said earlier, Trippier will hate making runs for him and never seeing a pass and Wilson has already indicated he finds him frustrating because he cannot rely on ASM's service.
I agree, but he's a massive asset, and Howe as the manager needs to find a way to get the best out of him. Whether it's by giving him a free role, or bringing him on as a first sub etc. A lot will depend on the players we bring in this window too. If we bring another skilful demon then we'd at least have balance on both sides, and not everything would have to go through him. He's a rotten egg at the moment and Howe is paid to get the best out of him or sell.
-
Feels like he doesn't want to be at NUFC and I wouldn't be surprised if he left this window. He's better than the MLS though.
-
Entertainment has no value in a struggling team. He needs special attention from Howe as he's clearly one of the most talented members of the squad and we will need him at his absolute best to have a chance of winning enough matches to stay up.
-
If we want to move up a level, Dubravka is a sub-goalie.
-
Nothing short of embarrassing from Howe and the players. They took the piss with the line-up and with the approach to the game. Maybe this serves as a wake-up call? After the good work against Man Utd and the euphoria of the window, some fuckers will come back down to earth and realise that we're still dogshit and still need to figure out how to win.
No striker is a monumental issue. This team won't beat Watford or Leeds if they take the piss again.

We'd be better off keeping him and letting him go for free in the summer, we still need midfielders, it's not like we are overloaded in that department. I guess if Ramsey comes in then we'll need to clear players out, that would be the only reason you would let him go, but even then I think I'd rather just de-register him.
Even then, Hendrick should be first out the door. Not sure what's going on with Matty Longstaff, but even he can leave before Sean IMO.

Blatantly going to be some fancy signing video isn't there? Media team have a new budget too, you know?
Andy Carroll money

Anywhere between 5-8M is a fair valuation for Sean Longstaff in his current contract situation. He's not THAT useless ffs. Massive dip in form, yes. Worth more to Rafa probably because he knows how to get the best out of him. I wouldn't let him go unless it's for maximum value either in cash or player exchange.

I feel same way about Alvarez. Very unlikely, but man he is a talent. And cheap too
Alvarez is pretty good yes. Always wary of bringing talent over from Latin America as the main man and expect them to hit the ground running. Vlahovic and Nunez ahead of him for me for that reason.

To be fair, we only found out we'd be playing CL football on the last day of the season. Being a step below these mega bucks clubs means players would have wanted to know which European competition we'd be in, so we're a bit behind on the negotiations.
