That's the only hope we have. The hope that: - Ashley isn't sanctioning spending because the money hasn't come in yet. When the money does come in Rafa can use it as he sees fit. - Ashley doesn't want to sanction purchases using installment payments over X years because he views it as a risk should the signings fail. - The £80m spunked under McClaren, and other spending sprees here and there (including last summer with a fair chunk of money brought in through players sales spent on Championship players), is evidence that Ashley will release funds when it's available and needed (or if he's panicking). If he were truly trying to squeeze NUFC for all he can he could have spent alot less, like we did when we first went down in 2008. So there's some unpredictability and inconsistencies with the notion that Ashley is a nefarious owner, and is simply a badly advised idiot who lies whenever he's cornered. - Rafa's unhappiness leaked through the press / associates is just another bluff, another screw to turn the pressure on Ashley to eventually release money and accept Rafa's high ambitions for this club. If/when he gets the money to spend next season he'll be happy. This is all straw clutching at its finest though. At times straw clutching is all we have

Not surprised really. Its been like this for the last 10 years or so. Even if we manage to shift more players out, there is no time for our incompetent cunts to sort something out.

Sounds like a really reflected and smart guy. Have high hopes for him

While i agree on paper they are better, i really don't think they are that good tbh. Team is full of individuals which make no sense from a team perspective and most of them have an inflated ego where they think they are better than they are. They'd struggle even with Rafa IMO, mind Rafa wouldn't buy most of the players they have signed. Well, as he said, better on paper

What is market place price for a club sponsorship anyway. You can argue its a quite high due to exposure.

Please explain what is loan from club owner and why it has increased to 129m term loan + 33m further loan = 164m as per latest account A loan is money owed (to Ashley), which needs to be paid back at some stage and is interest bearing (we pay for it in free advertising). It is not the same as putting money in and expecting nothing in return. The debt was 70m when he bought us (mainly related to late 90's stadium extension as a 57m mortgage which had to be repaid in the event of a change in ownership). He then added 29m to pay off existing player transfer fees that were spread out in one go, another 29m as the cost of the first relegation (his mistake) and another 33m after the second relegation (again his mistake). He also profits from this loan fiscally as he offsets it in his holding company, hence paying less tax over his profits. So in short: no, a loan is entirely different to putting his own money in (as most other club owners have done by the way). Give me examples that a normal club in EPL would have an income item called "owners donation". He could have signed a sponsorship deal with sports direct and funded us that way. You know, pay for the advertising space. Yea, by market price, additional 4m per year? unless it is the difference between relegation or not, would this help to give us an additional Batshuayi? Some owners pay above market price for club sponsorships. Like you know, a clever accounting trick to inject funds to the club.

Knew it would be tough, but not easy with a retard at cm. We defended well, and the gameplan was clearly to defend deep, and hope for some counter attacks. I am quite happy with the match, we defended well for most part, with two defenders injured early it's not easy. Out offence is hard to judge, as we just tried to counter attack, but it will be interesting to see what we can do against lesser sides. I will not dwell to long on this match, there are worse teams we have to beat. Lejune looked very good, Atsu mom. -
To much of a liability, sell or sack him
