Quite. What a queer. It's poorly worded and that's my fault ofc. Basically our players limitations don't allow them to comfortably compete for Championships when pitched against superior sides. There are several sides who are superior to us. Capello may have had the squad underachieving in some performances, but that loss to Germany was pretty expected and would have taken Capello's players playing at 100% for almost the entire game to get near scraping a positive result.

Don't think for one second that anyone is being a dick for the sake of it I'd like to think I could have this discussion with Interpolic and co irl np (Ronaldo included)
-
Some people are actually genuinely moronic when it comes to discussing the fortunes of our national side night.
-
People seem to forget that we got beat by a much better German side in 2010 and that we had really poor displays in the other tournaments that you're all reminiscing about...

MAYBE being the key word there. Key fact is that he'd already retired and would have needed some grade A grovelling to get him to come back. It's a terrible attitude to have towards your national side. Now stop driving that trivial point through and concentrate on these excuses you are convinced about. Explanation and examples kthnx

I have no idea what excuses these are that aren't 100% spot on? Pick them out for me... I don't have to. They're all nonsense. OH DEAR RONALDO

oh man i so hope harry gets the job after capello.

You're a WUM or you're slow. It wasn't a strong group. We're surely allowed to draw conclusions on our tournament prospects based on the level of performance we've seen. They are premature conclusions...

When the best English midfielder of the last 20 years would rather put his feet up at home because he hated international tournaments so much, you know there is going to be problems... That's Scholes btw.
-
Oxlade-Chamberlain is way too raw at this stage. Will have to tear the shit out of defences on a regular basis to get into the squad imo.

So Capello guides us to the tournament averaging over 2 goals a game; begins to utilize different formations and tactics; drops a load of deadwood out of the squad, whilst bringing in a few exciting youung players and it's all a bit shit and people aren't satisfied? Really is pathetic.
-
Tactically naive is just plain wrong. Mental strength is spot on and a biggy. Our players can't keep the ball because they haven't been brought up or trained to...

Wait, that's exactly what my ambition was? It's not like we could have won the Euros in the qualifying tournament? Heh. What's your ambition btw? Realistically we'll be very lucky to make a semi. You might have a point if we had a better pool of players, but we don't.

"England are a joke" is an amazing statement coming off the back of a successful qualifying campaign.

I think I care because I used to really like England pre 2000 when it was Shearer, Psycho, Gazza, you know, likeable chaps. I would love to see England doing well again, but until Capello is gone and the old guard are shifted out, I just can't give me emotional backing to a team containing such unlikeable c***s such as Rooney, Terry, Cole et al. Seems wrong. Think that has more to do with the changing actions of the media in how they portray the players and chase down sleaze stories than anything. Of course it's all fun and games when Gazza was being a grade A cunt off the pitch... And talking about this old guard... Are you aware that from a 23/24 man squad only 7 played at the last world cup. If that isn't Capello moving on and evolving the team, well, I have no idea what is?
-
You care enough to get involved with this thread? Just stop whinging. @RupertCommunicator ofc
-
Well of course. Still, Capello is winning a massive proportion of his games and the media still have his back. It's so pathetic.
-
Fabio Capello has the best win ratio of any manager of England
-
Just like the press are doing with Capello? You might want to familiarise yourself with 2002, 2004 and 2006 before coming out with that recycled garbage. Have no idea what you're implying here?
-
Capello England being shit at tournaments is nothing to do with him.
-
FYP. Gah, what is this rubbish? Capello rape you as a child or something?
