Solid? Only Ba who's scoring goals, aye, very solid! Best can obviously score goals & Benny will improve. Dont see the point tbh. Ben Arfa wont get another game at this rate if we get another in.
-
Its not that big an issue, our current strikeforce is solid tbh & people want Ben Arfa given a chance as it is. Need defenders

After all that Wonder what he failed on

Think people need to give up on seeing Ben Arfa on the wing, theres clearly reasons it aint happening beyond the current wingers performance -

Away from home theyve conceded 4 to blackburn, 3 to Norwich, 2 to wolves Yet just 1 unluckily to arsenal & 0 to liverpool. Hopefully they come into this game thinking they can win it rather than going defensive. -
Pards has said Tiote will prob start on the bench even if fit. Also: “I think it’s important that whoever I choose to play in there that we understand, it will be his first full game of the season whether it’s Haris, Alan Smith or Mehdi Abeid. “We have to give them as much support as we can and make them feel comfortable in terms of our fans.” “It will be an important role, whoever takes it.” Vuckic to get his first chance maybe?

If Ben Arfa cant be played there, hes our best option. He just lacks confidence and discipline in regards to defending/actually being driven to fight for the ball.

Probably thinking of money over career due to having a baby. Shame as he'd been doing a bit better recently.

You'd hardly be "sacrificing games" by playing HBA instead of Leon Best. That isn't the reason we've lost any of the recent games. Best is a great lad and a decent player, but HBA's talent is on another planet. I just think it will be better for the club in the long-run if we let this lad play a decent run of games. He will come good if we have faith in him. Thats not based on anything is it. You dont risk the potential of not being at your best due to a player recovering his form when the strikeforce that got you up to 3rd is fully fit. No one knows how the games would have gone otherwise. Chelseas bar was hit twice at 1-0 as a result of headers, Best may well have been more useful than Ben Arfa was. Ameobi certainly was quite quickly. Ben Arfa at his best in a position that suits him is probably the most talented player we have yes. We're not at that point at the moment.

Results come first. You dont sacrifice games to wait until a player can reach his potential, he should get time from the bench & in the odd game to prove himself like anyone. This isnt like at previous clubs where he supposedly came on and was very good, but was continued to be used as a sub. He simply hasnt been very effective in general yet. We should go with what works until that changes.

Deary me.

Not title contenders then

Parkers playing awfully

Spurs win much better than a stoke win.

Been all over em.

Took them two 20+ yard strikes to win the game. Good luck repeating that then Martin.

Well this turned into a shit weekend like
-
Their one decent player, saves them.
-
fail blackburn
-
I massively doubt Alan Pardew thinks sammy ameobi is a better winger than Ben Arfa. Theres clearly more to it.

If ever you need evidence than Benny doesnt want to play on the wing man
