  1. Quite happy to get the whingers out the door tbh, could only have helped us.
  2. Anyway, we've got some decent results against the 'bigger' clubs at home this season. Just a defeat versus Man City, with only Man Utd still to play.
  3. Pathetic comment tbh. neesy man, he's saying that the daft cow left after TEN minutes.
  4. Can't believe how close Nolan was to making it 5-4. I think I'm going to just watch the 2nd half on loop until I go to bed.
  5. Not many home crowds that would have stuck with the team to the degree that our lot did today. Watching this on Football First and it's goosebump city. Absolutely immense effort from all concerned. My dad texted me at HT saying "I'm going to watch the rest of this in the St James Park bar, gonna be a massacre". And he watched the whole 2nd half in the bar as he didn't want to go back to his seat in case it was unlucky. That's dedication to your superstition.
  6. I'm seriously not joking here - my mate at work was trying to find a market for us scoring a penalty in the 68th minute but couldn't. I thought he was mental, but I think that's the 4th 68th minute pen this ref's given to a home team this season or something. Crazy.
  7. hope this is as bad as it gets man, i really do What do you mean? Are you being sarcy and daft with me and calling me precious? Or are you genuinely saying that you hope it;s uphill from here? fucking hell you are pissed, i'm saying that things are bad now but there's still potential for the wheels to come off this season big time so i hope this is the worst you feel about football for a while as regards things getting better from this point on i highly doubt it, unless graham carr is the greatest scout that ever walked the earth EDIT: howay, i'm not Stu man Aye soz man, was clearly being a bit touchy. I think we've clearly had worse points in the last 5 years (howay man, let's be honest, in the last 18-24 months) but I just think this whole thing symbolises what the real issue is here, i.e. we had hope, not a lot, but a touch of hope. The hope's going now man. However I'm also influenced by the idea that NUFC are 100% unpredictable. So maybe we don't invest the whole £35m, but we do invest in a decent winger, 2 forwards, a good right back, a versatile defender that can play along the back line. Perhaps perhaps, we'll see man. I would be so much happier if Hughton had '£35m in his pocket' though, and not Pardew.
  8. Oh fucking bollocks. I just watched the MOTD2 when we won at Arsenal. Andy Cole was providing analysis and gave Carroll huge praise, "I can see what people are talking about with him... look at him, wins the ball, keeps the ball... you know how the geordies love a centre forward. HE'S CLEARLY GOING TO BE THE NEWCASTLE NUMBER NINE FOR MANY YEARS TO COME". Holy fuck. Fuck fuck fuck. I've taken decisive action and have knocked Modern Family on. Gloria... she's never heard of Andy Carroll and she has really, really big tits.
  9. hope this is as bad as it gets man, i really do What do you mean? Are you being sarcy and daft with me and calling me precious? Or are you genuinely saying that you hope it;s uphill from here?
  10. Maybe you can watch the 5-0 vs West Ham after that, no Carroll and no Hughton I'm just watching stuff I managed to catch on my Sky Plus. Currently watching the 4-3 at Chelsea in the League Cup and that. My point is that this Carroll shite just seems like a fucking bad dream still. I thought my anger had subsided but it clearly hasn't at all. This injury shite is actually a bad thing I reckon - I just need to see Andy Carroll play football in a Liverpool shirt to get it out my system. I need that release. Fuck it, I'm still feeling masssively, massively negative about NUFC as things stand. This one fucking hurt man, I'm not arsed how much money we got for him.
  11. I'm sitting watching highlights of Villa 6-0 on my Sky Plus. This was a fucking bad move man, awful. I miss Andy Carroll already and I still miss Chris Hughton. This season, man. Just no need for this kind of disruption.
  12. That his friend who works at the club told him we've agreed a deal with a Rennes winger or somesuch, who people quickly deduced was this guy. More excellent journalism beneath, this time from the Daily Star: Scathing stuff. Terrible. Also, 80's probably my favourite poster on here, when he bothers to post.
  13. just with you saying you can't bring yourself to hate him.....i can on a few levels. his one saving grace is he's a good footballer. is that enough to stop me hating him...no, maybe you should question how you should feel about him as for many it seems to change their view on reality. Oh right, so we're talking about footballers as human beings now, yeah? I still think Barton is a pure wanker but can't deny that I've become rather attached to him as a player. Etc, etc. Prior to Monday Carroll had shown signs of being a hothead, a radgee, bit of a thug. But he'd shown no signs of being disloyal, having no pride in his city, etc. Also, by all accounts he's supposed to be a decent lad when not in one of these situations he was getting in. I just think he's dead thick personally, but undeniably a bit rough n'all, yeah. The fact that you're saying you could never bring yourself to sing his name surprises me a bit really, seems incredibly pious to me.
  14. I'm not being funny madras, but I can't see how what you've said bears any relation to what I've said. Therefore I can't be arsed to reply to it, since it's a completely different issue. Unless I'm missing something.
  15. This is roughly where I'm at atm. Still pig-sick of these cunts in charge. Anyway, I think my dad's going to finally pack it in. Had a season ticket for about 15-20 years and he's threatened to pack it in loads and loads of times, but I think he's finally finished with it. A lot of the lads he went to the match with packed in 2 years ago, but he was on the 3 year deal. The Carroll thing's clearly upset him a bit - he says "the only way I'll renew is if they buy some canny players before they ask for my money, and I think that's quite unlikely". The only reason I mention this is that I think it's quite sad really, and if people like me fatha pack in then loads will. He'll put up with any old shite if there's either a chance of seeing some decent football or he has hope. The hope's disappearing, that's the sad thing.
  16. You're the captain of NUFC. If our player gets linked with Liverpool, you tell him to fucking stay here. If our player moves to Liverpool, you let everyone know that he should have fucking stayed here. Not the other way around. No matter what your allegiances are. Exactly. This week has been an eye-opener and a half for me tbh.
  17. Insomnia would be in a right huff if he saw the poll.
  18. yes for two strikes, i saw ginola at bolton make neil cox beg for mercy in the biggest piss taking i have ever seen of a professional footballer. And? They were 2 goal of the season contenders that were scored within the space of ten minutes, without which we wouldn't have won that game imo. You're just rating flair over outstanding shooting technique. Fair do's, but neither of us are right as such, i.e. there's no right answer.
  19. Voted Robert. Will never forget that home game versus Spurs, it was fucking ridiculous.
