  1. I think a concerted hate campaign is probably the most effective weapon left against Ashley. It probably won't work but at least we can make it uncomfortable for the fat b******.

It worked last time like, hopefully there will be some banners and chants at the hawthornes tomorrow and it'll really hit home!

  2. His best position for me has always been Right Back, but he's never been used there for us due to Beye.

That said, he is NOT worth £55-60,000 a week, so for me he HAS to be sold.

  3. One of those articles also said that one of those brothers had lost an estimated £500 million due to the credit crunch and could ultimately lose more.

Surely he's not gona buy a football club under those circumstances?

  4. I wouldn't assume Smith is staying yet and as far as I know we want rid of Geremi, unfortunately its not as easy to sell a player like Geremi as it is Martins, Bassong or Beye.  I also think we need Barton now, we're low on midfielders and he's a player capable of being quality in the Premiership never mind the Championship.  He hasn't murdered anyone for at least a few months as well so we should give him a chance

How many chances can he get though?  I was happy to give him a chance, despite previous incidents, but when he does things like he did in the Liverpool game, he shows how ridiculous he can be!  We don't need that in our team.

  5. I thought Beye was only on 30-35k a year, i'm almost positive I read that before, either way, he was bound to go in the end so it's money in hand and money off the wage bill.

Cracking player though, shame to see him go, especially to bloody Hull!

I can't believe we're keeping Smith and making him bloody captain!  Him and Geremi should've been first two off the wage bill in my opinion, along with the sacking of Barton, but I guess now we have to keep what we can......

  6. Just described Moat as more of a go-between on Five Live. Bringing the investment.

Well that could explain why we should not "expect" him as chairman, maybe he's just brokering the deal?

  7. I tried sending this earlier, but not sure what happened.

Trying not to get my hopes up but....The Telegraph article mentions that a certain Timothy Smalley was doing the due diligence. If I'm right, he's not a lawyer as the Telegraph suggested, but is/was the right hand man to one of the wealthy Tchenguiz brothers (who operates an investment vehicle called R20).

I'm not sure whether investing in football clubs is Tchenguiz' thing, but Smalley is said to be a real dealmaker. Tchenguiz was born in Iran, I think, so would that make Thomo right?

Are these the blokes you mean?

  8. Let's just hope by some divine miracle that we manage to get a result saturday evening and it might well attract more interest!

Do you think any investors could be waiting to see how we perform before they commit?

  9. It still baffles me that the club have absolutely no communication with the fans.  If they're hoping to flog all the season tickets and the merchandise they're rolling out, surely they would want to assure us everything possible is being done and tell us if there is actually any progress in what they're doing.

In the current situation, we have an under-half-filled stadium and no one is buying the new shirts, surely this must hit home that they HAVE to do everything physically possible to get the fans on their side?!

I'm completely sick now.  When we went down I was optimistic that we could get that cockney c*** out and rebuild from the ground up, but 3-4 days before the first fixture of the new season and we're in worse shape than ever!  How we've sold 15,000 season tickets (let alone the rumoured 25,000) I will never know!

Well it's about f***ing time we call the c***s bluff!

Spend nothing until he has to accept any offer he gets. Got to a point now where we can't damage the club anymore than he has, so hit him in the pocket.

But none of the money we put into the club goes into his pocket.  All it will achieve is to hurt the club even more financially and make it even harder to sell.

This is the thing, we as fans did this before and it didn't get us anywhere, he didn't sell the club before so doing the same now will probably have the same effect!  I really don't want to buy the new 3rd shirt, which I really like, just because it's money going to that fat cockney c***!

The upsetting thing now is that with Sir Bobby passing away, a lot of shirts will be sold in his memory, and unfortunately all that money is gona go to that fat c***!

  11. Surely if the worst happens and the fat man can't sell he must decide enoughs enough and invest in at least one striker and a couple of defenders. If we go into this season with this squad minus one, two or all three out of Beye, Bassong and Coloccini we are seriously f***ed. We can't compete with such a small squad. We're not even talking about the quality of the squad here, just the size of it.

We didn't have a big enough squad last year and it was widely known, to lose those players basically gives us so little it would be bold to even call it a "squad".

  12. I wonder how long it will be before Seymour Pierce pull out of this farce.

It's hardly doing them any favours.

I was thinking that, it's not really showing them and Harris in a good light at the moment!

I'm starting to believe we really are a sinking ship...

  13. f***ing HELL!!!!!!!!!!

Reading are in talks to sign Matthew Mills after agreeing a deal in principle to sign the defender from Doncaster Rovers.

Mills has been the subject of much transfer speculation over the summer and has been linked with Birmingham City and Nottingham Forest.

Doncaster had been determined to hang on to the 23-year-old, but have now accepted an offer from fellow Championship side Reading.

Reports have placed the fee in the region of £2million and Mills has travelled to the Madejski Stadium to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical.

Royals boss Brendan Rodgers had been in the market for a new centre-half and is now close to tying up a deal for Mills, who started his career at Southampton.

Mills has made a total of 86 appearances for Doncaster after originally joining on loan in 2007 before completing a permanent move from Manchester City last summer.

Don't forget that Marcus Tudgay just signed a new contract as well!  Another off the list!
