  1. Cisse evidently gets zero support on the pitch or off it yet somehow manages to be the deadliest striker in the league when playing. He deserves the smallest portion of blame for this farce.

This - we'd have already been relegated without his goals this season and kept us up in 2012/2013 with some important late winners.

  2. This farcical situation could easily have been avoided if:-

    1. We'd bought a player or two in January.

    2. Not sold Yanga-Mbiwa and Santon.

    3. Appointed a proper manager.

    4. Not appointed a bloke who is destined to sell tabs out the back of a van.

    5. Mike Ashley emulated Matthew Harding.

  3. Keegan scraping the reserves, might of had some decent youth players come through.

There were no decent youth players coming through at the time - the best of the bunch was probably Paul Brayson, who was shite anyway.

  4. Not getting rid of Shearer when his legs started going. Getting rid of Sir Bob. (the two are linked)

Appointing Keegan the second time round.

    Appointing Kinnear DOF.

The first mistake Shepherd made was not getting rid of Bobby in the summer of 2004 (that 5th place finish massively glossed over how shit we were that season) and his next one was appointing Souness instead of someone decent.

  5. Anyone wants Ashley out and who goes to the game knowing there's a boycott planned is a proper fan.

You're actively damaging a protest whose aims you agree with (or maybe not). Just don't go. For one game, don't go. Do something else with your day, try to be part of the solution and not part of the problem.

    FYP

Got your extra track and a tacky badge? Spenk.

  6. Today shows how much Colback contributes in the middle of the pitch. Without him we were overran and outfought.

Colback does show for the ball and he's a better passer than Sissoko, Jonas or Gouffran. So yeah, we did miss him.

The idea that he 'hides' is crap.

No, the assertion that the idea that he hides is crap is codswallop.

  7. What's up, John? Couldn't get Sir Bobby/Will Self/The Zodiac Killer on the blower to satiate your imaginary needs? That may because they all, unreservedly, hate your fat, uncouth, bilious guts. Stay classy, JC.

  8. The huge absence of black managers is clear reason enough to demonstrate both that discrimination is happening, and this happens without anyone being a mad racist discriminating purely on people's skin, but on a series of prejudices that starts from black players assuming that they can't make it in coaching so not even trying through to black managers struggling to get enough experience that they then can't get jobs at the top level because there are already so many white coaches moving about and upwards.

Could not disagree more. Football cares solely about money and trophies. They will use players and managers of any colour to achieve that aim.

    Total nonsense.

This post is incredibly silly. You can say the same thing for politics or the business world. But we've seen in large corporations women and ethnic minorities under-represented in positions of power. And not for a lack of qualifications. Again - what constitutes a leader, strategic acumen can be changed by your own internal bias subconsciously.

Someone else posted it. But the role of a football manager and his skills are highly subjective. Pearce, Southgate & Sherwood for example all got their first taste as untested and inexperienced managers in the PL. No real tangible CV to land those roles.

We can argue until were blue in he face you would never know for sure either way. FYI I wouldn't employ any woman in a position of power because they continually lose power to men.

Aye aye, John Leslie's had a malibu.
  9. Bunch of aching simpletons. Imagine being a Crystal Palace fan? They are that tedious and nondescript that they had to invent a rivalry with Brighton and list finishing 3rd in the top-flight as an honour. No wonder they consider Pardew a God.

  10. It's going to be too beautiful when 'Operation Cock Piss Partridge' fully kicks in and it slowly dawns on the followers of an insignificant South London football club that their saviour is a gobby, vacant, tactically negative, thinly-lipped, orange-peel gobbed arse bucket with the verisimilitude of a Cobra.

  11. Article is as good as we've come to expect from Caulkin. He has his finger on the pulse of the NUFC collective better than anyone else out there in professional media, and he's not even a supporter!

He is, used to write for the Mag in the early '90s and was a season ticket holder.

  12. If Pardew is as bad as most seem to think, why is Cabella joining us? He'll have had the chance to speak at length to Remy, Debuchy, Sissoko and Cabaye. It doesn't sound like they've given him a bad reference.

As far as I'm concerned, Pardew still has something to prove, but this unrelenting negativity doesn't quite fit.

For the avoidance of Doubt, Pardew is Mullins over Mascherano, Gosling over Ben Arfa, Elliott over the emergency pilot in Airplane!, Archer over Orwell, Big Country over the Ramones, Brighton Belles over Golden Girls, Barney the Dinosaur over Godzilla, In the Night Garden over Jamie and His Magic Torch, Kula Shaker over Super Furry Animals, Chris Evans over Howard Stern, The Business over the Long Good Friday and Williamson over Baresi - negative cunty bollocks 0 lollipops, sunshine, romance and common sense 4.

  13. Well that's a remarkably acerbic reaction to a comedy vid with a fairly odd Keegan based ending. Cheers. :idiot2:

In the interests of fairness, would you care to elucidate as to as the reason behind your 'comedy' Keegan video, lest you join the likes of Cronky and Ozymandias as filthy heretics.

Ah give over, you reckon the guy that did the video is taking the p*ss, or did it because he actually thinks Keegan is awesome. I'm pretty sure it's the latter, but either way I found it funny. Sorry if that makes me a c***. Tetchy buggers. :buck2:

It's a certifiable hanging offenc...nah, nowt wrong with that BD.

  15. The scoop 6 is worth £15 million today thats worth £2 of anyones money

You have to pick the winner of every race is it?

Winner of each of the 6 races, if you place in each race you can win around £1000.

Can you bet on the scoop six in any betting shop?

  16. f*** all of our players. Heartless c***s the lot of them

I think you'll find the main reason for our trenchant shitness is in your avatar.

    True, but they're still gutless.

Oh aye, they're far from blameless, but when your manager allows you to switch off from January onward and talks about having 46 points like he's found fucking buried treasure you can understand the general malaise permeating the club.
