He'd be our starting RW which would likely mean Barnes and Gordon would never start together.

Why is there a thread about Manchester United? I don't see one about Manchester City or Burnley or Wolves. Sack it off. Nobody is interested.

How many CB do Chelsea need?? I know they have lost Silva but they already have more than they can actually play
Badiashile
Disasi
Chalobah
Colwill
Fofana
Gilchrist
Sarr
The only two that have really showed promise are Fofana and Colwill and both have been injured a lot. The rest of them have looked very unconvincing for the prices that Chelsea paid even though they were apparently highly regarded before they were bought.

Anderson doesn't prefer to play wide left. He wants to play CM, in a 3 that's LM of the 3.
Gordon prefers the LW but is happy to play RW
Everything else you said is nonsense too
Gordon in an interview said he didn't like playing on the right and Eddie has shown no inclination to play him there. The others I mentioned all prefer playing on the left although none are conventional wingers. IMO Joe Linton is a much better wide player upfront than in midfield. And you don't state that other peoples opinions are nonsense just try sticking with not agreeing with them.

I agree selling Barnes is absurd, it's just buying him when we did was more opportunist than a priority. It will be interesting to see what we do next season because both Barnes and Gordon should be starting and they both play the same position.

If we sell Barnes we'd then need a LW too, doesn't make sense to do that
We have Gordon, both Joe's, Anderson who prefers to play wide left for starters. We didn't need Barnes when we bought him, he's a luxury signing to back up Gordon that maybe in 5 years we will be in a position to do. I like Barnes, over a season he'll probably outscore Gordon, but where do you play Gordon in that case. He certainly doesn't like playing on the right.

Maybe DCL is Isak's replacement?

Normally injured, otherwise maybe not very good?

Nobody is paying 50m for the invisible man Willock.

We need to sell someone for a reasonable sum, so if not Miggy who?

I won't be too unhappy to lose this and miss out on European football next season. Next season we'll have Tonali back, bring a couple of new players in, no heavy schedule, get our top players back, avoid the injuries and we could be pushing Man City and qualifying for Champions League
The risk is that we lose one of Isak or Bruno or Howe depending on how PIF view not qualifying for Europe.

The whole team is the defence, especially the midfield. With the likes of Longstaff and Miley playing you are always going to be easy to expose.
And yet Eddie has shown no interest in playing anyone as an out and out defensive midfielder or purchasing one. I can't think of a successful team that doesn't have one. Arsenal have three although obviously they don't all play at the same time.

After Bruno he’s technically the best player we have.
-
Just too slow to make use of what looks like a reasonable amount of skill.
-
In typical Newcastle style it's all going very pear shaped.
-
If we are the 6th best team in the league than the league is honking.
-
So win our 2 games and we get 6th and Europa. Anything less and it's possible we end up 7th and depending on who wins the cup in the Conférence or 8th and SFA. Pretty crucial that we don’t fuck this up.
-
Man Utd looking good so far and reasonably competent.
-
The implications of not getting any European football are unknown. How will Bruno, Isak and more importantly PIF react?

Get people being down after the game like but just need to try and maintain some rationale.
All I've read on here and WhatsApp since the end of the game is Bruno is saying his goodbyes and we aren't getting Europe because we've fucked it
I think one person said we weren't getting Europe, we have as good a chance as either of the other two, better than MU if they lose to Arsenal tomorrow and we get a result when we go there.

Because there’s a real defeatist element to a large part of our support fucking whiney spineless cunts.
Well the last time we weren't defeated when it mattered was in 1969 so there is a bit of a pattern here.

Agreed - Barnes has a big season ahead of himself next year. Some decent highlights with his handful of important goals in 1-2 games this year but on the overall much improvement needed next season and hopefully injury free.
I think Barnes needs to start and play a lot and for reasons already discussed on here we bought him to play in the position we have by far the most options for. Gordon, both Joe's and Anderson for starters, Isak can also play there. Maybe coming on as a sub really doesn't suit him and like today shows he's a rhythm player.

Just about worth a point i suppose. It does set up both Chelsea and Man United to finish above us unless we win our last two games.

Cheating little bitch. Sell.

Well we won the most injured players championship last season and Kelly is a great buy to keep us number 1.
