Doesn't look like he can play on the right and he certainly prefers not too. Barnes can only play on the left and we knew that when we bought him. A pretty typical Newcastle conundrum and self inflicted lack of joined up thinking.
-
Is a decent CB but a pretty horrible LB. However as we keep getting told, Eddie knows better.
-
We really lack technically competent players and yet both Hall and Livramento are among the best technicians at the club and yet they hardly play.
I worry if Eddie gets his way in the transfer market that he'll continue to prioritize athletes over more technical players.

Same people every time, not a peep when we're doing well
We haven't done well since 1969 not if you value actually fucking winning something.

Well after 2 and a half years of Eddie's coaching we still sometimes look absolutely clueless, tonight is about as poor as I've seen us. This new Palace manager has a plan, not at all sure what ours is.

Longstaff has been diving like that all season, he got what he deserves.
-
Longstaff the little boy that called wolf.
-
Eze only slightly better than anyone we have.

Absolutely inept first half performance. No energy, no idea.
-
So if the reports are true what role/position does Chiesa want to play? If it's left winger not much point buying him.
-
Apart from Bruno and maybe Tonali I'd rather have Miley starting than any of the other midfielders we have.
-
Nice to see so many talented young players on the pitch for both sides, and yet here in Geordieland most posters seem to want to loan out Miley and Anderson and Minteh for another season. Bollocks to that.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Miley go out on loan.
I wouldn't mind seeing Miley starting as many games as possible. For us.

Nothing is changing for next season so we will have to sell a ton pf players which is difficult because most of them have virtually no value, or Bruno to PSG for the release clause in his contract that Bruno and his agent wanted. The worst of all the options.
-
This is a reckless feckless performance by Liverpool. Should be 3 or 4 up. No way to win the league.

He was very impressive against Villa, helping out in midfield both defensively and further forward. Calm in possession with a nice range of passing. Hall looks like he could do something similar.
-
Hall appears to have the skill set to play the fullback role similar to what Rico Lewis does at City. Might be a bit too revolutionary for Eddie though.

Very interesting article here. Sorry if someone has put the link up already.

Could potentially result in points deductions for the next three years mind.
Maybe, but we just don’t know as there doesn’t appear to be anything in writing as to what the potential penalties are. They seem to just make them up on a case to case basis.

Go and drop 500 million in the next transfer window which should be enough to make us top four competitive if spent wisely and if it costs us 10 points so be it. We'd still finish higher up than if we have no money to spend this summer
-
Depends on what the limit of the possible points reduction is.

There’s a good chance Bruno goes, selling Isak too risks wrecking too much of our progression and a massive negative reaction from fan base. Sends out completely the wrong message regarding ambition.
Selling Bruno hugely hinders any progression we hope to make and also will send out completely the wrong message to the supporters. The owners have to find another way around FFP or ignore it or go to court.

Pope is even worse than Dubravka with his feet, there are lots of reasons why we need him back but his distribution from the back isn't one of them.
