Bollocks, the major part of your rich sporting history is a pair of World Cup Winning brothers who were from Bothal, which is part of Bedlingtonshire not Ashington.

The popularity of the dog in the States is probably what they will play off while selling the merchandise in America.

And as for what about the other teams in the league, this is a team who a few years ago walked their current league year on year but couldn't progress purely down to a lack of funds. Remember they were in the 2nd round of the FA cup and FA Vase finalists in '98/99 season
