If only I had an example of a young forward who didn't look so good when first coming through but then progressing and being sold for some daft figure like £35m I could make you look really silly!

 

Obviously I am not saying the lad will go on and do a Carroll but I would have thought his ability when coming through then the immense progress he made in a short space of time would make some people wait and see with young players coming through.
