I spent a long time living in NI. I'm hardly ignorant of Irish politics. Can Irish men play for NI? How is Eire poaching the best NIrish players in any way fair?
-
To compensate lack of Cabaye (if he is out) I'd cram midfield, so go with
Krul
Raylor Saylor Colo Santon
Abeid Tiote
Gosling
HBA/Guti Marveaux
Ba
Know HBA is sort of wanted in gosling position but my thinking is that HBA is likely to play further up pitch off striker and i'd want third man in midfield to do plenty of defensive work, Gosling and Abeid are inexperienced but both there with Tiote backing up should stop them being overwhelmed. Guti is switched to the right if he's playing to counteract Bale and marveaux getting in behind lennon or VdV could give us some love. Dunno if to prefer guthrie to either gosling or abeid really
Why would you take Ben Arfa or Jonas for Gosling?!?!
Surely:
Abeid Tiote
Ben Arfa
Jonas Marveaux
Ba
Would be a much more sensible solution?

He is coming across a total bellend here. IMO, Norn Irish players who choose to play for the Republic are cunts. No loyalty to their country. UEFA need to do something about it. It's not even like NI is part of Eire, it's part of the UK FFS.

7 too many.

The amount of five a side/astro footy in this country annoys me. Played a 11 a side game on weds, and it's frightening how few people are left who know how to play proper through balls/make runs/hold a defensive line. Blame 5 a side!
To be fair though, you wont be playing with the creme de la creme of this nations footballing talent.. More like a motley bunch of overweight apes who are either gasping for a tab or vomiting on the sideline
Were you eatching me play?
-
Considering in his time as boss, the North East has has Carroll, Bent, Henderson and even Steven Taylor, to not visit either SJP or SOL is just pig ignorant. The blokes a buffoon.
Correct. The FA should be moved to Birmingham.

Don't think for one second that anyone is being a dick for the sake of it
I'd like to think I could have this discussion with Interpolic and co irl np (Ronaldo included)
I think if this was real life Ronaldo would have been filled in yonks ago.
-
Why is everyone being such dicks to each other on this thread?
We're all mates here, man! (Apart from Ronaldo, he's just a cock.)
-
You care enough to get involved with this thread?
I think I care because I used to really like England pre 2000 when it was Shearer, Psycho, Gazza, you know, likeable chaps. I would love to see England doing well again, but until Capello is gone and the old guard are shifted out, I just can't give me emotional backing to a team containing such unlikeable cunts such as Rooney, Terry, Cole et al. Seems wrong.

Capello's managerial record, what a dunce this man is:
As a coach
Milan
Serie A (4): 1991–92, 1992–93, 1993–94, 1995–96
Supercoppa Italiana (3): 1992, 1993, 1994
UEFA Champions League (1): 1993–94
European Super Cup (1): 1994
Coppa Italia Primavera (1): 1984–85
Roma
Serie A (1): 2000–01
Supercoppa Italiana (1): 2001
Juventus
Serie A (2): 2004–05, 2005–06 (both revoked)
Real Madrid
La Liga (2): 1996–97, 2006–07
[edit]Individual
Serie A Coach of the Year: 2005
BBC Sports Personality of the Year Coach Award: 2009
I just so happen to think he's made a pig's ear of the England job and is mainly here for the money but to question his ability is incredible.
I don't disagree with you about the club bit, but seriously, Ruud Gullit would struggle to get a team containing Hart, Cole, Terry, Rooney, Young, etc etc etc to play so abjectly badly at a World Cup.
And he can't speak English! Pretty fucking important when you're managing ENGLAND!
I think lots of managers could have overseen such a disastrous campaign. Different teams but Taylor couldn't get us to the tournament, nor could McClaren, Keegan couldn't get us past the group stage after a sticky qualifier versus Scotland.
Our players will look for any excuse and the media will make matters worse. Every single time. With their pressure and their scandal stories and their arrogance. Things will need to fundamentally change if England were to ever win a tournament, I don't even think an inspirational manager would make much difference, although it would clearly help. And then you've got the valid concerns about the way football is taught to kids in this country. The whole thing's a mess.
Hence why I don't support England. The whole system is absolutely rotten to the core. But hey, I'm a moron for saying so according to certain posters, so I'll just let the players do the talking on the pitch when we get embarrassed next summer. Again. Whilst I continue to not care about my national team.
God, I hate the international break...

I encountered a scouser today. 47 years old and he couldn't read or write.
Bet the cunt could get into a locked Ford Focus within a minute though.
To be fair you just have to look at a Ford and it's doors spring open.
Surely the fact that Fords are so shit is the ultimate theft deterent? Why would anyone want to be seen dead driving one?

The blokes grasp of Football management is appalling.
FYP.

If I was from Norn Iron, I'd be livid about this.

RIP Sweet Prince.
Never let those Albanian bastards in the EU!!!

I like to eat garlic and frogs. I have really bad BO and smoke 500 tabs a day. My hobbies include eating smelly cheese, surrendering to small Armies and riding a bicycle whilst wearing a striped top and carrying strings of onions around my neck.
FYP. Don't diss the Best.
Are you enjoying yourself doing that ?
I did a little chuckle to myself, yes.
I am glad for you, but please, enjoy yourself with someone else.
I'll enjoy myself on the next person who disses the Bestinator.
I didn't say anything wrong/nasty about Best...
You implied that he wasn't going to single handedly smash the spudz. That's enough in my book for some casual racism against the French (obv our French players are immune from this).

From the BBC:
Just to confirm for you that Wayne Rooney will definitely now miss the first game of the Euro 2012 finals, with a second at the discretion of Uefa. *Rolls eyes*.But tonight was a good result though, eh BABA?
What the hell does this have to do with anything that I have said?
You were saying that tonight was a good result. I was presenting you with evidence to the contrary. Keep up man!
So Rooney being shown off makes 2-2 away to Montenegro still not a good result? As an outsider I'm not batting an eyelid at that scoreline. Montenegro are not a bad side and it's not a bad result for today's England.
Kaz man, you sound like a Toon fan; expectation levels so low that you'll accept anything other than abject embarrassment as a victory!

Nothing, Baba. He's just incredibly special.
Once again, stop following me round the forum slagging me off. It's boring.

UEFA don't like England either. It's not like the PL, where Rooney/Fergie get away with murder, UEFA WILL smash Rooney for a three game ban. Nailed on.
