  1. Wonder if they'll replace Bruce? Hope not, doing a great job.

Did he recently sign a new contract?  ???

    Yup.

Haha! If they sack him, he'll be compensated millions. If he stays, he is still in a job. Steve Bruce = Winning  :frantic:

  2. I hope i'm not the only one who doesn't want to see West Ham go down. Sure their football has been dire this season and their position in the table reflects that, but they are a traditional footballing side in my opinion with loyal fans and history behind them. Unlike Wigan.

    Good words from the lad.

Dare we think Pardew is now having an effect and he's starting to take his job a bit more seriously? Hope so.

"And he hasn’t even had the chance to air the smiley tattoo he has inserted on his lower lip to celebrate his first Premier League goal."

That would be amazing! Right into the camera

  4. Quite a weak article but linked nevertheless. Never heard of him tbh.

Reported Aston Villa, Birmingham, Sunderland and Newcastle target Victor Wanyama admits it would be a dream to play in the Premier League.

Skysports.com revealed on Thursday that the English clubs have shown interest in the 19-year-old midfielder, who is currently starring for Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen.

But while Wanyama confesses that he is flattered by the speculation, he insists that no deal has been agreed.

"I am very excited to be linked with Premier League clubs. But nothing is done yet, it is paper talk," he told skysports.com.

"But it is a dream for me to play one day in one of the top leagues in Europe and there is no better at the moment than the English league."

  5. So yesterday my son is in the Jesmond Starbucks, in a queue.  In walks Sol Campbell and strides up to the counter.  "Hoo mate" said my son, "there's a queue".

Campbell actually said "Do you know who I am?"

"Yes" replied my son "Unfortunately I do".

Campbell tuts and walks to the end of the queue.  What planet are these guys on?  I can't believe there are still people, especially footballers, still full of their self importance.

Anyone have other stories about footballers up their own arses?

Nile Ranger said the exact same words to my mate in a nightclub in town after he refused to move out of his way. Idiot.

  6. Please be true  :hmm: Apologies if already been posted

Liverpool’s pursuit of a new left back is well documented, the likes of Newcastle United’s Jose Enrique and Everton full back Leighton Baines are often linked with a move to Anfield, but now it seems that Arsenal contract rebel Gael Clichy may be the most likely signing.

Sources have stated that Kenny Dalglish is keen on snapping up Clichy after it became clear that the Arsenal man would not be handed the huge pay hike he was looking to receive. Reports suggest that the full back wanted a large increase on his reported £50k a week salary and that Arsene Wenger is not willing to budge on the matter.

Indeed the Emirates Stadium boss dropped the French international from Sunday’s match at Stoke City, further fuelling rumours that the North London club would seek to cash in on a player who has just one year left to run on his current contract.

Reports suggest that Arsenal will be looking to sell the former Cannes man for a fee in the region of £7m rather than losing a player who arrived at the club in 2003, for nothing in the summer of 2012.

The Merseyside club will hope that director of football Damien Comolli will be able to convince the 25 year old that Liverpool are a side on the up and capable of challenging for major honours and qualification for the Champions League.

Comolli is highly connected with all levels of French football and was credited with the discovery of Clichy when he was a European scout for Arsenal some years ago. The Liverpool director of football apparently still enjoys a close relationship with Arsene Wenger and also helped to bring the likes of Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue to the club and that link may help Kenny Dalglish to secure the talented attack minded defender.

  7. Nile ranger in tup tup last night, shook his hand and HE asked me if I wanted a photo or a signature, I duly said no. He was with Josh walker (Stevenage?)

My mate was told to "MOVE!" out of the way by Nile Ranger in Tuptup recently, and when he refused Nile said "Do you know who i am?"  :knuppel2:

    Proper big-headed like

Did he hit him with a cracking one liner comeback or did he just move in the end?

He said something like "oh yeah, you're the guy who gets 5 minutes each match"..

    He didn't move though.

Published on Wednesday 11 May 2011 11:24 TWO dedicated Black Cats fans are camping out to be the first to get their hands on next seasons Sunderland AFC shirt.

Old school friends Lee Crabtree and David Jackson set up camp outside the club shop at the Stadium of Light on Monday morning even though the new home strip is not for sale until tomorrow.

The three-night camp-out has become an annual homage for the pair.

This is our tradition to show how loyal we are to Sunderland football club, said David, 22.

Were going to do it year after year after year.

Ive heard no one does this at Newcastle for their home strip, so it shows Sunderland has the most loyal fans. Even if we cant beat them on points, this shows we can beat them on loyalty.

He added: I really like the new shirt. I think its a return to the 2001 strip. It looks good.

Lee, 24, who has spina bifida and uses a wheelchair, said he had no problems camping out and the friends found their tent pitched on hard surfacing a fine temporary home.

Its not really that uncomfortable. You get used to it, he said. We dont get any trouble either.

Youd think we would, but everyone who comes past is very friendly.

The friends met at Bamburgh School in South Shields. Lee is from Harton, David from Whiteleas.

They used to hold season tickets, but are both unemployed and say they can no longer afford them.

We watch the games on TV and this is how we show our loyalty, said David.

Some years weve done the home and away strip launches, but this year were just doing the home one.

We want to give other Sunderland fans the chance to be first for the away strip.

The friends said people passing by offered to bring them food and drink, but they also had supplies with them.

They use the disabled toilets at the stadium and say the security guards and club shop staff look after them.

Lee said: No one else really starts to queue until Wednesday night, then there are quite a few people here.

David added: Its just immense when everyones here, its a great atmosphere.

Search "John O'Shea is s***. Couldn't hit a gays arse with a dildo" on the video site.

Look at that video, everyone is getting involved.

Someone karate kicks someone in the back, and other people are fighting.

But look at the Number 10 on the running track (holding the ball), stands there and just kicks the ball, with a connection that would make Shola proud

The guy who dished out the karate kick is Armand Masimzhanov playing for FC Kairat. Or rather was playing...he's been banned for life

  11. Leroy fer is on twitter

Good player, linked to him in January I think?

    @Lerra_

Would love it if we made a move for him. He's like Cheick Tiote's little brother  :laugh2:

  12. They're not at all comparable, man.

He's Swedish and so has an opinion on both players. Clearly he rates Guidetti and sees a 19 year old on a free as a good piece of business and as one for the future, while alternatively while he might rate Elmander he doesn't agree that we should be looking at him as our potential starting striker next season (along with the wages and signing on fees that would come with), and instead we should be looking elsewhere for younger possibly better players.

It's really not difficult to comprehend, or at least interpret his way of thinking.

    Typical Sewelly merk  :snod:
