We're in no need of a cheap, shitty plan C. Just sign Pieters, Cissokho or M'Bengue. Now is really the time to spend some real money.

Wouldn't be a bad idea? Would be absolutely shite.

£3,5m saved.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3755963/Manchester-City-tell-Newcastle-to-pay-2million-to-loan-Wayne-Bridge.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter NEWCASTLE have been told to stump up around £2million to take Wayne Bridge on loan from Manchester City. Bridge, signed for £12million from Chelsea in 2009, is not in boss Roberto Mancini's first-team plans but the City chief still wants a fee for any short-term deal. Toon boss Alan Pardew - desperate to sign a left-back - would also have to pay half of Bridge's £90,000-a-week wages.
-
That's my fear.
-
Don't forget his wage demands. Surely won't be higher than Enrique's, but meh.
-
Most fitting thread for this. Douglas - As it'll be elsewhere too...Enquiry about Wayne Bridge over the weekend. Seven figure loan fee likely to scupper deal. More tomorrow! Bridge. On loan. f*** right off you cheap f***ing b******.

Bollocks. Fuck off.
-
Been out there for a while now.

Doesn't strike me as the type of striker we need.

Wasn't he supposed to be good? Highly rated by many Norwegians. Great speed and movement, but his shooting is more often than not poor. Don't know how he's done for Bari, but they've had money problems so could be because of that he's sold. Personally never rated him as good enough for the Prem, but think he could be a decent signing for Pompey.
-
Reportedly Huseklepp have signed for Pompey.
-
Well, he's starting.
-
Of course he is. Worse players have done that along the years.

S 04 sporting director Heldt: "Raul has told us that he wants to stay at Schalke and asked us to turn Blackburn down. We already did that."
-
According to? Niko Kranjcar. The Croatian midfielder, in route with the Tottenham, seems now to be a step from the Sunderland: "The Rome? Old story – these the declarations of its agent Adrian Aljai to ForzaRoma. info – C' was some contact with the May verse player for the Roma soccer team management, but nothing of more. We are about to close with the Sunderland, that it should have almost reached l' Agreement with the Tottenham. I believe that it is the best solution for Niko, seen that always it wanted to remain in Premier."

Me and my drunken emails. Aye, Blackburn. Supposedly Schalke won't drive a hard bargain, but the stumbling block will be the £100k wages he's currently on. Bolton too from the looks of it: Schalke gen.manager Horst Heldt has told Bild that Bolton have bid for Raul & would “meet w/Raul & his agent today to talk about it.” #bwfc

Saj Chowdhury (BBC) - "Sochaux tell me Maiga is not "transferable". Bit strange player claims #nufc chatted to him without club's blessing, by the sounds of it." Re: his exclusion from the Metalist match - "More to do with the strike...I think they may be happy for him to stay in the reserves for two weeks then perhaps sell him"
-
Proper love being pessimistic some people.
-
Pardew have often stated definitely one, maybe two strikers in. If we manage to offload Loven as well, there is no reason we can't buy a cheap Maynard as one of two.
-
Word on Maynard from #bcfc end player out of contract at end of season, yet to sign new deal. #lcfc offered package worth £4m recently #nufc
-
Disappointing.
-
Surely, if this match is so important, they'll play him anyway? Specially with already lacking a couple of defensive players.
