Regardless of the goal, what a f***ing depressing time it is when people would rather be elsewhere. Today, I turned up 5 mins late, went for a half time drink (2) at 38 and went back on 55 mins. I really could not be f***ed watching that today but went out of a sense of loyalty. Celebrated the winner like we'd won a cup as per but afterwards I still felt gutted, knowing we had basically a. we sneaked a win b. it means nothing in the long run in terms of where the clubs heading and c. the lad who scored it is (imo) just waiting to get out along with a few others.
Means they get to keep the bragging rights for longer and I really hate that. I'd still rather see them go down, because we're now a banker six points for them under this man.
You don't retain bragging rights if you are in a division below.
We're talking about a club that are still going on about a game they won in 1908 in a season where we won the title.
God knows how long we'll hear 'NE New Wembley Top Dogs'
Debuchy, Cisse, Ameobi, Marveaux, HBA, LDJ, Remy and Colo all likely to leave
If that was to happen, I'd start to allow myself to consider believing that Ashley possibly might but probably won't sell up. Maybe.
