  1. Can't wait to have him back, even though it will be in August. A lot of our fans underestimate HBA, he's an absolute steal for what?£5/6 million? If we had him available all season I am pretty confident that we'd have at least 7 or 8 more points. Him playing behind say a Gamerio is truly wanktastic, but it'll be him stuck left-wing with Shola and Loven up front probably.

  2. He's good going forward, must be said.

What I love in a Full Back. Would probably compliment Barton well if we're to continue playing him on the Right. He's starting to go a bit stale there like, would like to see him in the middle sometime soon again.

  3. I must say, anyone who Spurs want rid of will probably not improve us much, unless they're a striker.

This. Only maybe realistic one would be Hutton, but he starts when fit IIRC. Would be a complete step up from Simpson at Right Back.

He's a disaster defensively. Certainly not the player you want right next to Mike Williamson or Taylor.

More of a disaster than Simpson defensively? Really narks me when he backs off until they cross or score. Can't say I've seen much of Hutton but he always seems very dangerous going forward as well.

  4. In;

    Westwood (Free)

    Larsson (Free)

    Puncheon (£1mil)

    Elmander (Free)

    Ireland (Loan)

Gosling and Ben Arfa being classed as 'New signings'

    Out;

    Campbell

    Ranger (Loan)

    Forster/Krul (Loan)

    Vuckic (Loan)

    Enrique (£10mil)

Probably the usual 'we're working on 4 or 5 deals before the deadline shuts' before a last ditch bid to sign Carlton Cole and Robbie Keane convieniently 'fail' to leave Mike, Dekka and David Craig to have a group w*** in a big pile of money, in the Boardroom.

    FYP

 Pardew will turn up as well though.

  5. Tis centenary or some other thing like that. Old school badge too. L/S is smart as.

45 years since their promotion to the old Division 1.This is a recreation of that season's kit.

Stupid that. 50 would have probably been better. Unless they're planning relegation in the next 5 years  :coolsmiley:

  7. I look forward to it then :celb: Probably better anyway, being closer to the pitch and that. Hopefully get the whole lower part of the ground going, although it doesn't work at the dark place.

  8. Level 7 can be frustrating at times, because when songs are sung at the right speed the rest of the ground can join in and it ultimately helps the atmosphere. On the other hand, the best seats in the ground are in the afore mentioned section. The view is phenomenal, the atmosphere is electric most of the time, and new song after new song comes out every couple of weeks. ABsolutely love it there, and that's why I'll be moving to Level 4 with hopefully a lot of the same lads.

I hope to fuck everyone moves there, by everyone I mean the whole of the Level 7 corner because I'd hate to be stuck for ten year being frowned upon when I want to sing.

  9. Creativity is a rarity in our squad

This. Rely far too heavily on Barton in terms of assists and crosses. O'Hara would be a fantastic addition, huge step up from Guthrie. But can't see Nolan, Barton, or Tiote being dropped to accomodate him like.

  10. I've always liked Taylor. People seem to have taken a dislike after the Carroll incident last March, and because he had a quite poor game against Everton. So fuck if he celebrates like a looney, doesn't that just show how much it means to him? I definatly prefer him to Williamson, who has made the step up quite well but I really get narked by his insitance to hoof it. Taylor/Coloccini in the first half of last season were class. We hardly ever conceded.

  11. Not sure if it's realistic, although I don't see why not. But I'd love to sign Chris Samba. Absolute beast, was class yesterday, got them a point by himself basically. Compliment Colo perfectly. Few players at Blackburn I'd have, including Hoillet, N'Zonzi, Jones and Olsson.

  12. I think finishing above Sunderland would be seen as a decent achievment for a newly promoted club. Not just Sunderland though, Stoke, Villa and Birmingham would be seen as very decent progress too. We've basically competed all season with our Championship squad + Tiote, and that batch of teams have spent alot more than us on their respective squads. And if we finished above Sunderland, it might shut them up for a bit about being 'top dogs' etc.

  13. Also bottled it big time in the October Derby. Fake hard man, like Bardsley.

I'd have Bardsley over Simpson tbh.

Why? Because he flies into tackles?

    Because he's a better player.

Hmm well that's up for debate. Neither are world beaters. Probably being bias because I can't stand bum fingerer Bardsley.

  15. Also bottled it big time in the October Derby. Fake hard man, like Bardsley.

f***ing hate Bardsley! Mainly because my ex boss used to reckon she was shagging him. Apparently he used to text her saying things like 'im naked waiting for you with my finger up my arse'.

Fucking hell. Thought Gordon was the only bender down there.

  16. I'd be very, very content if the summer consisted of us signing either Gamerio or Sow, Whickham, Gervinho, M'Bengue for fees. (Probably cost about £30 million minimum like, so very doubtful.) And Larsson, Elmander and Puncheon as cheap, squad players. Hopefully get rid of some of the crap too, i.e Raylor, Perch, Smith, Lovenkrands. Have Ben Arfa and Gosling coming back too, maybe even Ireland on loan again.Would definatly loan Ranger out too.

  17. I had quite a 'heated debate' with a Mackem mate on Friday night, and he was adamant that Lee Cattermole was a better player than Joey Barton. I begged him for some kind of explanation to this, and he just kept saying 'more to his game'. I hate Lee Cattermole, but I hate Tim Cahill so I can appriciate someone I hate if they are productive. Just what Lee Cattermole brings to a team I do not know. He doesn't set up goals, he doesn't score goals, he can't cross, he can't pass, he can't even tackle without being booked. I just think he's a little thug who got lucky, lucky being he was from Middlesbrough who seem to give every kid in the region a chance.

  18. I've not seen Connor Whickham play other than highlights, but he sounds like a good investment. As in we could sell him for more money as soon as he looks like making the grade.

This. A Mike Ashley signing no doubt. Probably get him. Well I hope so anyway.

  19. According to today's Chronicle we're apparently back in for Connor Whickham. Would love it if we got him, propper old fashioned with a cracking shot on him (AC anyone). Nowhere near the finished article at 18 but would love it if got him, as long is it was reasonable in terms of price. Would like if we bid for that Chamberlain too, but Man U, Le Arse etc are after him.

He isn't what we need right now at all.

    Why not?

He is an expensive unknown quantity who will probably be a top player in 3/4 years time

    We need instant impact

But wouldn't you rather we got him than someone else? He is going to be a top player, and also being 18 means he would fit in a homegrown quota by the time he's 21, which could prove useful especially if we're too push for Europe in the next 3-5 years. I'd 100 % take a chance, I've heard £15 million being quoted but I definatly think if we offered £8million with maybe a year's loan down there they would take it.

I'm not saying he's the short term answer. Maybe even loan him back out to Ipswich. But if we got Whickham, Gamerio/Sow and Elmander on a free I'd probably be reasonably content. Definatly need a nippy striker as well though.
