I think a change of scenery would bring back the Yoann of old who is unplayable at his best.
All one season of it?
One season !!!
2 great seasons with Bordeaux. A few very good seasons with Rennes.
AC Milan and Lyon wouldn't have paid good money for him if he wasn't good. The guy has been in The French squad for the last few years and he was in the preliminary one for the 2012 Euros despite his poor season after his move to Lyon.
If he is available for a cheapish price then he is definitely worth taking a small gamble on.
-
On a free maybe not worth the risk though.
Lyon paid sh*t load of money for him. You'll be ripping there off if you get Yoann Gourcuff for free.
-
I wounder how much would Lyon part with Yoann Gourcuff. He has had a poor season in his standards and would be interesting if he can be acquired cheaply. I think a change of scenery would bring back the Yoann of old who is unplayable at his best.

I don't think gameiro has to be a back up. As I said cisse and can't both start every game if we are also going to play in Europe. Gameiro should be able to start in some games while in others coming in as sub to cisse or ba.
-
Injuries aside, we need more quality strikers to come in when required.
We only have cisse and ba and when they go away on ACN duties then we are stuffed upfront. Also we are going to play in Europe next season and i cant believe cisse and ba being able to play in all competitions full time. If gameiro is available for cut price then he would the perfect addition and can come in place of cisse/ba or start up on Europa cup games and when ACN is on.

Are saying Lee's technical abilities are now matching Silva's abilities ? Please....I didn't know Lee was playing for a wold cup winner national team.
-
I don't think Lee has the physical attributes to be successful in the premier league. He is short and not strong enought.

I think for me the main issue has been lack of consistent results when playing away from home. Our players don't seem that hungry to win away games especially in the first half which most of the damage is done. I thinks one main reason for this is lack of strong leadership from our captain. Don't get me wrong I think Collo is a very good player but is he captain material ? I'm not so sure especially away from home.
I think if we have a captain and other senior players who can shout and push other players to keep going when we are down by one goal, we would then stand a chance of reducing the big loses or even turning these situations around to draw or eve. Win the game.

I still think Pappise cisse is better than maiga.
-
I rather we play with 10 players than 11 with Shola.
-
How much difference it makes to our team play when we actually play the ball on the ground rather than hoofing it very time we get the ball. Compare our two styles of play against QPR and Aston Villa.

Of course the club owes him every penny he spent on it. What do you think the club is a toy ? The club is a bussines unit like sportsdirect is another of his bussiness units except that nufc is currently still in the negative financially and it's to start making money and paying it's debt off to the lender who is Ashly.
I thought I did but if I miss understood your post then please tell me why ?
It doesn't matter what cost it is, at the of the day that's how much the club is in debt and needs to make profit every year so as to reduce the debt and hopefully one day be debt free.
Because the club needs to be viable financial entity capable of running itself by itself without outside help. The club can not continue to be forever Mike's money pitt. Why do people persist with the notion that the club owes Ashley for the money he spent to acquire it?
That's not what he said. He's talking about acquisition costs, not running costs.
In summary the club is a business and it needs to be profitable to stay open for business.
Did you even read my post?
The money he spent to acquire the club is gone, he doesn't get that back unless he sells and only then if someone is willing to give him back what he paid (or more). The club doesn't 'owe him' that money at all, but people mention it as though it does, including it in the amount he's spent on the club as though we should be grateful for it.
Again, I'm talking purely about the acqusition cost in this instance, nothing else.

I think loan deal is the only realistic option left and I think Sturridge is a possibility considering Bolton did it last season.

Im from Melbourne.

The notion of Ashley haggling over his fee is laughable. We'll accept a derisory offer of about 5 or 6 million, send him on his way and replace him on the cheap IF we're lucky. More likely is to stick young Ferguson back in there and keep the cash in the bank.
We know how he works.
Ashley's regime has generally been pretty good at getting decent fee's to be fair.
In some cases they've done really well.
Enrique's contract situation is the decisive thing here though. He won't let him go for nothing next summer and will take whatever is offered for him imo.
My point is still why sell when money is not reinvested. He is worth keeping for one more year.
-
IMO we're dreaming if we think we're going to get a lot more than that for him at this stage. We all know he's worth more than that but even the big clubs will hang around for a bit if they can get a £10m+ player for nowt in a year's time and they have enough in the squad to tide things over.
If we can get around £7m for him in the end then we've done quite well imo.
Do you think we can buy another left back as good as Enrique for 7m before the transfer window closes ? Who's even to say that Ashley will reinvest the 7m in another left back like the 35m that has been reinvested in playing staff...
-
The club is just showing what his owner's personality is all about, a stingy cheap bastard billionaire.
-
The annoying thing is that we did not take advantage of the buying power we had over clubs like Villa who had 2 months to sell players before they could compete in market with us.

He has much more potential than Ameobi had at the same age. During some games when Ranger came on for Shola after some 70 something minutes of being offside every f***ing minute, Ranger did so much more in the remaining minutes of the game.
I would get rid of Shola who is not only rubbish and always has been but now getting old. Instead of young talented teenager who needs a bit of guidance and time to grow up.
Shola actually looked pretty decent in his very early days.
As long as I remember, Shola has been a master of the offside rule. That is being offside.
For me, Ranger definitely has the raw talent. Shola never had it.

Anyone watched PSV much last season ? This guy "Balázs Dzsudzsák" is suppose to be a hot property and would assume much cheaper than any of our attacking midfielder targets we are after. Apparently one of the top Eredivisie players last season. His YouTube compilations are not bad either but who's aren't

If Ashley is offered 40 million for both you think he shouldn't sell ? I think a 30 year old defender going for a lot of money and a midfielder who can now be replaced by Anita is worth the gamble as long as a telatively good CB is brought in. I think he should and would tbh.
