A draw sounds about right. It would be nice to see a balanced midfield instead of two holding ones, but we missed that boat in our last two home games. Maybe this isn't the right one for it, although personally I wouldn't be against seeing someone like Gosling introduced. Not that I rate him, I just think 4-4-2 is pointless with two defensive players in the middle. i dont think it's overly bad with two defensive midfielders aslong as you got a attacking midfielder ahead of them, think Gosling between the midfield and a lone striker is not a bad idea it's suited for Pardew's direct game, he can be like the Nolan, making those late runs into the box, 2nd balls and all that. is he fit? Let's be honest, even though we have a midfielder who can hurt the opposition in Cabaye, when he was fit he was being asked to play as a defensive midfielder anyway. So might as well pick one of Bigirimana, Abeid or Anita alongside Tiote and we are set to go. love to see what Abied has got to offer. -

Always thought they didn't know much about football. the only thing we owe to a beating is a barn door. They obviously been caught with the hype of our last season. -

im going to be positive for a change, i think we do better against teams who don't play a lot football, Reading, West Ham, Stoke etc. prediction 1-1 and a hot fest of yellow cards. -

one of our posters had been quoted on the oats forum "We are a longball team playing against a better longball team" lol -

Often because it goes to Simpson. Regardless of who it goes to, tbh. Pretty sure there were groans for Hatem's against Spurs. our fans are the best, love it when they shout SHOOOOOOT when Tiote crosses the halfway line. -
he's trying to convince us that there are no home games in europe, we all got to travel to the ends of the earth for these type of games.

Strangely - yes. Both of which led to a goal or nearly a goal too. Ben Arfa and Cabaye on the left. Ben Arfa dribble into box - penalty. Overload to far post. Coloccini late arrival edge of box. Short cut back corner to Coloccini who drilled a shot at goal (which reminds me of the time he nearly scored a header from the edge of the box from a corner drilled back to the edge for his late run). We never tried any of these again I'll never know. it was deemed as too dangerous. -
he's nailed on purple player for Pardew Yeah, his five year deal is proof of that, mate. EDIT: Debuchy is being targeted for backup, too. Cabaye will tell him how great its like being a purple player, and the quality football he's been promised all season lol.

we've become as predictable as Pardew is. anyone remember the last time we've taken a corner short? or ever seeing a player put his hand on the ball and play the freekick quickly?
