Cos Man U rejected their approach?
-
He holds all the cards. If this is true, not sure it'll happen.

The Times is saying Big Mike is furious that the story was leaked by the WSJ and that could lead to the whole deal collapsing. My reading of that is he is the one who probably leaked the story.
This wouldn't surprise me at all. He doesn't want to relinquish ownership in my opinion.
Plus the last takeover was 'definitely happening' as well. I won't be getting excited.

3 of those points from the late goals that are papering over cracks.
Pessimistic Nut
I agree with you, but I thought after our downturn in form after Christmas that we'd struggle to turn it round. We have to be fair to him. We've got Norwich, Palace, Southampton and Burnley still all to play over the next month and a half so we'll see where we are after that run of games. Hopefully safe.

Gutted for him. Deserves to be signed permanently and looks like we'll end the loan early.

If Old El Paso was on there you'd all be windmilling.

Wonder what the release clause is?
Getting relegated probs.

Hope this isn't the real Midhat, they'll rightly run a mile.

What sort of journalist wouldn't try and find out more?
Same thing I'm thinking. Is the dude writing in Arabic a fake ITK or something?
Just a random guy speaking Arabic, claiming to be ITK, yes.

Chronicle going into overdrive with the Longstaff stories now the grotty rag that it is.
I can't see Longstaff leaving so early in his career fwiw.

Refused to comment on his visit to the training ground? This is kind of worrying.
They probably just answer the phone with “no comment” these days.
When was the last time the club actually commented on anything...

They confirmed they have received the heads of terms though? How do the Chron know this I wonder, or are they just making this shit up as well? None of this info is in the public domain following the AGM is it?
-
Is every fucker on holiday like?
-
Chron saying Charnley attended the AGM insisting it's business as usual, as he would I suppose...

Someone will piss on our chips soon. This is how it usually goes.
-
The dots all connecting now. Just hope something happens soon, I'm fucked with it all.

"I need your clothes, your boots, and your motorcycle."

We don't get blow by blow updates and we all lose our shit.

If it's true they're taking us over, they've already outlined the timescales have they not? i.e. it'll not be completed until post Rafa's contract expires, so some time in July.
The priority for for me is to get Rafa signed on and to keep the day-to-day running of the club going as normal. We can't really afford to be missing out on transfer targets etc.
-
Fingers and toes crossed.

The restructure of the academy staff is hopefully a good indicator. Neil Redfearn the front runner according to the Chron.
Interesting but why is it a good indicator though?
Would Redfearn be a Rafa appointment? Isn’t it just the club replacing the gap caused by Beardsley’s departure?
I might be missing something
If Rafa is the driving force behind the restructure, which we're lead to believe he is, I'd assume he'd be central to any appointments. I'm just speculating of course.

We're talking about an owner who's employed Joe Kinnear twice, Pardew, McClaren and Bruce. An owner who seemingly makes managerial appointments designed to piss people off. Other than Benitez, who approached us I believe when we were already looking relegated. Bruce is a symptom of the ownership problem.
