  1. Let's be honest - he wasn't the name that jumped into people's heads when we found out we had become the richest club in the world.  We were all hoping for a bigger name - someone that would lift the club from the lull of the last 14 years and give us the momentum to get out of the bottom 3.  However, the reality is the bigger names in the game didn't want the job.  Howe did - so fair play to him. My main concern with Howe is whether he up to the job of dragging us up the table as it's a big ask - I am sure the owners will give him support come January but my fear is that may come too late.  Brighton is a massive game - we need a win.  It is going to be interesting to see the reaction from the players on Saturday.

The fact that some people are disappointed with Howe after what you went through with Pardew, Bruce etc. is absolutely fucking baffling to me. There was a point where I'd have had Howe at us.

    He's a very good manager.

It's not that I am disappointed it's more that I am not convinced he's the man to keep us up.  There is a difference. I actually think he's a decent manager.

  3. Am not going to lie I am not convinced he's the man to keep us up.  If we were mid table - fair enough but we're not. He's got some task on his hands - I hope he proves me wrong.

  4. He's not going to attract any better quality of player which is what we need.  I just don't get it - a massive gamble imo.  I am not saying he's a bad coach just don't think he's the right man to take us forward and more importantly keep us up.

Charnley would struggle to recruit for McDonalds staff. If he was involved then no surprise.

Would explain why everyone is rejecting us

    Howe is a sidewards step

Championship here we come.  I find it bizarre  PIF spent months pursuing the club but didnt use that time to put a management structure in place.

Emery Has to be number one from all the other candidates. I like how Fonseca hated defending and he is all out attacking very Keeganesque too riskey for our current predicament.

Just something about Emery that I don't like - Ten Hag for me just ticks all the right boxes.  It doesn't sound like Ten Hag is interested - if the press are to be believed.

We’re effectively wanting 36 points from 23 games as you can probably write off the other 5 games against the 3 elite teams.

We need to get all 9 points from Brentford, Norwich and Burnley and even get something on Saturday.

Hence why we need a world class manager -someone who will lift these players. They need to drop a ton of cash at Contes door and give him whatever control he wants.

We will N O T be relegated, we will definitely not be relegated.

It will be close, very close, but we will not be relegated I am sure of that.

I wish i had your optimismt the table makes grim reading - im 50/50 atm. We need a World Class manager to turn this around - if Conte walked through the door id be confident we'd stay up. Martinez the opposite - he's not good enough for the tastic i  hand.

Newcastle United's new owners have been forced to keep Sports Direct signage up inside St James’ Park due to legal clauses inserted by former owner Mike Ashley ahead of the club’s sale.

The clauses mean the new Saudi owners have not be able to remove the ads but after the takeover led by British businesswoman Amanda Staveley (below) hopes remain they will come down in the ‘short-term’.

They were still evident during yesterday’s match against Chelsea. The sponsorship agreement between Ashley’s sports retailer and Newcastle United runs to the end of the season.

    Quote

Despite dominating the stadium, the club received the equivalent of £157,500-a-year from Sports Direct under Ashley.

Lets not forget we're finally rid of the man.  Robbed the club of income and just let it rot.
