Brentford deserve a point here. Should be a good 5 or 6 mins added on with this injury as well.

Should have had a Pen - Toney was on side- how come that wasn't checked by VAR?

Comfortably the worst post I've read this year. You have managed to capture all the worst traits of a football fan there.

Oh give over - Bruce is a toxic presence at the club and the press conference today just highlighted why he needed to go.

  3. Consortium have made a shambles of this imo- totally out of touch if they don't realise HOW unpopular that decision would be to keep Bruce in charge. Feels like they've no plan and are making it up as they go along, which is strange considering how long this saga has been going in for.

The new regime is trying to do things the right way, seeking advice from those with more detailed knowledge of English football, and the hope must be that things will settle down, as they did with Manchester City when they were taken over by their oil-rich state backers more than a decade ago. That situation was, as one source told Telegraph Sport, “exactly the same” as Newcastle are going through.

Clearly just speaking to Bruce's mates.

Good piece by Hope. Although it doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of the next 10 years, it is an error to keep Bruce for Sunday.

14 years we've been waiting for this day - it's a major gaff.  It'll feel like Ashley is still here and nothing has changed.  It was bad enough having those awful SD signs still in the ground but having Bruce still in the dugout as well will feel like BAU.  It's not like his presence will add any value to the teams performance.  It will be the opposite in fact.

  6. I know we've got to be realistic with regards expectation considering where we are in the table and our current squad as to who we could attract but Lampard is a disaster waiting to happen. You'd be better off sticking with Jones.

The press keep saying we have no plans in place then in the next breath linking us with every manager and player going

I honestly think we don't - hence why Bruce is still here.  I think the buyout happened so fast they've no one lined up.

It's honestly a toss of a coin whether I'd keep Bruce or get Lampard in.  He's that shite.

As much as it pains me - I agree.  I am hoping it's just click bait as I am sure the press have as much clue about what is going on as us.

The longer it goes without a concrete link to a particular name the more I think it’s him, purely because negotiations with him would be the most detailed and complex imo

I do think the speed of things over last couple of days has took them by surprise.

If Conte is a new manager, you can forget the slow rebuilding process. Conte wants CL quality team. He is superb coach but is he good fit with us?

He has a history of getting the best out of players - that's exactly what we need.

I can't doubt Conte's ability, but he does strike me a really volatile. Would he be a good fit for us? The area? It's one thing potentially having loads of money to buy a championship, but is that what he does? Or does he actually build squads with a legacy in mind?

    I personally think he'd be a good fit ?
