At this point you can't fail to be impressed by how much they're taking the piss at this point. Like, they've assessed their own financial situation, looked at the horseshit rules that they're bound to follow and just thought 'fuck it, let's just sell parts of ourselves to ourselves' knowing the rules are so fucking stupid and backward that I'm actually impressed. They know fine well the PL won't hold them to account or want a legal challenge so they'll probably get away with it too. Fair play to them, it makes a mockery of the rules but it also shames the people who threw the rules together in the first place. The more ridiculous it looks the better

They're basically shittng on every other team in the league though....other than City of course. The game is just broken.

A couple weeks wages off Rashford and that could be fixed

That's so true- crazy the wages he is on. Such an overrated player.

Man United needs a mass overhaul still for me like. A full scale review of the club from top to bottom with a strong manager with a clear identity who is going to stick around and be allowed to stick around.

Mad thing is, they've probably thought this with precious appointments since Sir Alex Ferguson.

Just seems a very disjointed club to me.

    And long may it continue

Frustration lingering well into today after that.

I didn't think we played particularly badly by any means and credit to Brighton for doing a job on us. The issues for us were clear; final ball lacking, quality finishing lacking. A ref that enabled one team's shithousery. Boiling conditions preventing us from implementing an effective pressing game which can give us an edge.

I'm wondering if Harvey Barnes is going to be defined by maddening inconsistency; for him to fire-in that absolute missile against West Ham, too those two limp dick efforts yesterday. So frustrating.

I thought Tino and Krafth were very good from a defensive point of view and Bruno drove most of what was good. Good to see Trippier back and it was a lovely surprise to see Cisse with Jonas. Thought Anderson was mostly anonymous and Murphy replicated performances of pre-2022.

I thought Anderson was our best player in the 1st half -  granted he disappeared a bit in the second but he was always wanting the ball.  Murphy was poor and imo shouldn't have started the 2nd half.

  5. I left at the whistle cause I was dehydrated and my head was banging - I really needed a drink. No other reason.  I wouldn't be surprised if that was the same for others.  It was hot.

Big club bias has always been there, still remember when Phil Jones moved from Blackburn to Man Utd and literally was immediately in the England squad. Never got a sniff while at Blackburn iirc, in straight away as soon as he moved.

But but we are a big club - I think it's more anti-Newcastle bias

He's been great, but it's Isak for me.

Nah - we expected Isak to be Class - not many expected Gordon to be.
