Bruno apparently had too much ambition to stay at a club without Europe, or something like that.

There was always the risk Bruno could leave this Summer - even Isak but thankfully it didn't happen.  But you got to expect they'll want to play in the CL - these are elite players.  I am not saying we can't do it - but the lack of any meaningful investment in the squad hasn't helped us when the likes of Spurs, Liverpool, Villa, Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Brighton, West Ham have all strengthened.  Our net spend this summer is -30m.

We've brought by in Kelly and Osula. That at the very least evens us out, doesn't it? If you're being unkind. I'd argue that we're very (barely noticeably) stronger. Ruddy is probably better than Karius n'all.

Not sure how we can't class Minteh as a loss - if we'd kept him I would have took that as a win.  Looks a decent player in a position we desperately need to strengthen.

We have the same (I'd say a better) squad as we had playing CL last year, going into a season with no European football – with a lot less need for rotation.

This ^ - no excuse he's only just through the door.  it's also not like we have had to replace our whole recruiting department. Surely we had 'targets' not 'target'.  

This transfer window has been poor - can't believe we are saying we are aiming for CL football and then going into the season with a weaker squad.
