"Funny" thing is, didn't Pardew want to buy him during the summer?
-
Didn't watch the 2nd half but I saw one tweet that said he talked a lot, more than the rest of our squad. So I guess that's a positive. Still conceded two goals.
-
find it amazing that we scored the first goal. I must have been pleased for a few seconds. Yet I stopped watching before HT. What a disgrace.

This is like watching aids dry

That's the problem with sending him to a club at the bottom of the table, if he doesn't produce something immediately they'll change things up out of desperation.

No need to point out the specifics with us, we just aren't good at football.

here comes the wanking

Don't mind it in his case. Better than getting a reputation red for doing something while standing his ground. His introduction to English football was getting screwed over by the refs.

Getting sick of this co-commentator
Yup, he's terrible

Very excited for this tournament.
I think having some of the "random" countries qualify adds a lot.
I don't get why people are against the expansion. Sure there will be some lop-sided scores but the better games will just be pushed back to the later rounds. Having more football to watch is never a bad thing.
My main counter argument is only that it's no longer symmetrical. 3 teams in a 4 team group getting though is awful and heightens the chance of dead rubbers which shouldn't really happen in tournament football IMO.
Weird thing is, a lot of the new counties that have qualified have done so without needing the change in rules.
Yeah I can agree with that part of it. I'd rather have the same amount of teams in the knockout round but with more of a group stage (not sure that's possible to do)
I wonder how much the expanded tournament is just a mentality thing. Seeing extra spots gives, Iceland, Albania, North Ireland (and so on) a bit of hope that this is the time they can make it and as it turns out they would have qualified normally. On the other hand you have sides like the Dutch who might have though that with so many spots it was impossible for them not to qualify.

The media love Pardew almost as much as they love Liverpool. It's going to be another terrible loss.
