  1. Personally, I rate a match v the smoggies ahead of most fixtures but way behind the mackems derby and games against Man United, Liverpool and, latterly, Chelsea. Rivalry seemed to pick up a bit when they actually spent a bit of time in the PL.

Like sempuki has said, generally good memories - Asprilla, 4-1 away under Sir Bobby, even the 3-1 in the relegation season felt pretty good at the time. I also have a close mate who is a Boro fan so it might be I rate the game higher than average, though.

  2. Blyth v Birmingham should have been on TV, live. But it's all about ratings. :( Odd bit of trivia for you's, but the last time that Man United didn't have an FA Cup tie televised, was a a replay at home to Exeter, back in 2005. Tells you all you need to know.

Yep, the Yeovil Town v Manchester United tie is their 43rd consecutive telly tie. Today's is not too bad a pick, in fairness, but I'm sure some of the others over the years have been pretty dubious.

  3. Absolutely no magic in the FA Cup so far this weekend. Poor television selections (nowt on the box yesterday!) and all the non-league clubs to have played are out - Blyth Spartans after being 2-0 up, Southport in the last minute, Gateshead 0-7, Dover Athletic 0-2 after half an hour. Only Wrexham left to go.

  4. I was away last week (and missed the first four, I think) - so I'm just playing to boost my measly average now

  6. Rob Lee on Talksport soon, fully expect another ex player telling us Pardew truly is the King. Shay Given was on before sticking up for the prick :anguish:

Well, Given knows plenty about leaving NUFC in the shit in a relegation season.

  8. For what?

Really not sure, sorry, and he's not giving much away on Twitter. Possibly just c***teasing so that we read the latest column in whatever rag he is currently employed by.
