  1. Watched motd for the first time in a million years to see how bad these were. Wow.. shambolic defending of the highest order . If they can maintain this standard then Liverpool could be a bloodbath .

  2. Would like to think the net result was as dramatic as when King Kev showed Andy Cole the exit door. His vision produced the most exciting era in our " modern history ". There were open displays of doubting our manager then . Not comparing any parties here , just hoping for a comparatively positive outcome

  3. Got to agree wholeheartedly with this. I keep seeing posts about our amazing support , and yes the figures are amazing But it's not actually support , more like an audience.  Sadly SJP let's itself down big time when it comes to getting behind the team . Just got a feeling Rafa must be thinking what happened to the amazing scenes we saw the last game of last season ? If just some of that was present this season I think we would have been unbeaten at home right now I

  4. Correct me if I'm wrong but I haven't seen any reference to Rafa bemoaning the raw deal here , using the excuses card or slating officials . How refreshing is his attitude compared to our previous incumbents . The man oozes class.

mentioned it in the post match interviews, heard nowt since. hes probs gone away and worked out how to win even when they officials are straight from the Carry on films.

Didn't see any post match stuff.... What was his opinion ? Scathing , angry , philosophical ?

  5. Only just been able to bring myself to watch any of the footage again and there's so much wrong about this that I still can't believe the absolute bias towards Forest shown by the ref. However , how any Forest fan can fail to be absolutely embarrassed by the blatant and pathetic play acting of Lansbury , who rolls around clutching his STOMACH after the self inflicted "coming together " with Shelvey , is beyond me. If that was a Toon player I would openly condemn the cheating b@st@rd

  6. Rafa had this game sorted. We were in control even with the god awful officiating setting booby traps . Disallowed goals , penalties denied , we were still bossing it. So the ref had to take it to another level and reduce us to 9 men . Time to draw a line under this sh1t of a week and instill the siege mentality in the players.... AND TIME FOR ST. JAMES'S TO BECOME THE 12TH MAN AGAIN AND SCARE THESE INCOMPETENT OFFICIALS INTO GIVING US SOME CHEAP DECISIONS

  7. Tonight is up there with the notorious away game at Man City when Malcolm MacDonald was commentating , and said that in all his years in the game he had never witnessed officials so blatantly biased towards one side . He was absolutely livid and was suggesting that some kind of corruption must be involved.

It really isn't what I remember growing up with. Since I gave up my ST at the end of the 06/07 season I think the only time I really remember the ground properly rocking was the 5-1 v the mackems. The last promotion season had its moments (Forest, Sheff Utd and Ipswich all at home) but it's been nowt compared to the SBR years - and even they seemed flat at times compared to when Keegan was here the first time.

When things are not quite right in a game a home crowd can play their part and help win the game. I've heard Rafa allude to this in a couple of interviews before, saying that if the staff , players and fans are all doing the right thing and pulling together then Newcastle can be a special place . He knows what a fortress we could have here , but he's not getting it . With reference to the quote above , there's a camera shot of Steve Bruce's face as he's walking out of the tunnel before the 5 - 1 derby and you can see the fear , you just know they've lost that game before a ball is kicked . But why , oh why is St. James's so utterly and completely dead time after time. Today was so reminiscent of the Wolves atmosphere, same outcome. 52000 may as well be 5000 if we can't get behind the team .

  9. It's a bit surreal watching this Newcastle team being so utterly organised , inventive and in control . It really is like watching the Liverpool of old. Not so long ago our set pieces were a joke and our game plan was just pray that one of our lads can pull out something special. It's been obvious for years that we were going nowhere until we got a proper manager but this guy is beyond anything we could have hoped for.

What was the guy who I presume is a Newcastle fan doing in their store in anyway?

This is nothing unusual at all for them . I've taken a severely disabled guy into this store a few times over a period of a couple of years and the offer has always been there... In fact the guy has been given a ticket for spending £30+... Maybe shouldn't have revealed my guilt mind..... Wide open to be branded a mackem again

  11. The bottom line is regardless of the banter back and forth we are contented and enthusiastic about our current status whereas the city of the damned are apoplectic and drowning in a toxic soup of envy . So sit back and enjoy the gospel according to the Wear dwellers ... it's certainly entertainment
