Tbf to him, he's played incredibly well for someone having that hanging over them all season. Lock him up and throw away the key tho

So did Woodgate and Bowyer for Leeds when they were been invested for assault, cos they are cunts!

Underestimating his connection to Palace Mr Big Balls 😏

this stint as DoF is simply what has made him sexy outside Selhurst. Not an unbroken spell but he’s been here since 1995 in various guises for approx 20 years. Club icon and that’s a two way street.

This is his team as much as anyone’s and could be he reckons Henderson/Johnstone, Guehi, Andersen, Richard’s, Munoz, Doucoure, Wharton, Olise, Eze and Mateta have potential.

Maybe only of course. Doubt any would break into a top 7 side. Very unambitious to stay put and avoid the money move and trust in what he has built.

probably just waiting for the other United to up their offer - surely he couldn’t turn down them too. No one is that loyal.

I get where you are coming from and if being at Palace is everything he wants in life then good luck to him, but if he is ambitious and wants to see how far he can go in his career then we are the perfect place for his next step. Yes there are bigger clubs than us but with respect to Palace our potential now we have owners who are prepared to invest is massive, if we still had Ashley then no argument stay where you are!.

I suppose it all comes down to if he wants to see how far he can go but we all hark back to the days of players been loyal to clubs so maybe he is just that kind of guy.

  3. If Freeman wants to stay at Palace then so be it, it is his decision could be family, could be lack of confidence etc, whatever it is his call, but for me without been all billy big balls club about it, it shows a lack of ambition and therefore would he be the right person for the job?.

  4. Top 3 battle with Chelsea as I think they are starting to gel and Liverpool will drop off, we do need a few new players and some luck with injuries though. Some kind of cup win, domestic or European.

the club being inert could be true as well.  I’m just hoping there is a reason for it.  My thinking is the advantage could depend on how the deal is paid.  If it was all upfront then getting that on first of ffp would leave it in the ffp tolling 3 year period for an extra year.

Could it be they are banking on some kind of European football next year before they announce any deal, then then £100m club offical camel partnership deal will look better when the Cartel clubs get to view and decide on the value of the deal or what ever it is that they are allowed to do?.

  6. It looks like Spurs want to move on Richalison, he hasn't had a great season but he is hard working with an eye for goal and was one of those dangerous shithouse players at Everton, if we move on Wilson I think he would be a good replacement if the price was right, and another Brazilian to add to the family.

How good was Steve McManaman as a playedr?

He was at Real Madrid during the Galacticos era but you rarely see his name mentioned in best England players. Too young to have seen him play

He reminded me of Chris Waddle from the limited exposure I had of waddle, and old school dribbler, the same kind of build as well but faster I think.

I'd take a punt like. Ramsdale, Pickford and one or two others had similar seasons in relegation fodder. That's if we're confident Pope's shoulder is okay and can go for another 2-3 years as number 1.

If not, I think we need someone proven who can go straight in.

I would imagine we will know mid-friendlys in the summer if Pope's should is up to it, if not we might see a scramble towards the end of the transfer window for a more experienced keeper but all the other clubs will have bedded in their squad by then so could be a bit of a gamble and we might not get anyone decent.

With the two back up keepers on their way in the summer then this could be a problem position if Pope doesn't make a full recovery.

No doubt the club are already on it now that we have professionals in charge.

  9. Just watching MOTD and realised that the young goalie at Burnley, Trafford is not playing at the minute.

I know he looked shell-shocked half way through the season but he looked great in  the under 21's in the summer.

If Burnley go down they might need a few quid and he would make an excellent back up to Pope with a view to taking over in a season or two, he knows our young English lads which would help.

I think they paid about £15m for him, if we could get him for around that it would be money well spent and squad player type money.

  10. Really don't want to loose him but if we do it is £100M that will be invested back into the club and not fattys baggy jeans pockets.

And if that is the release fee then if anyone tries anything outside that month then it is even more, there are only a few clubs who could afford that and how many of them actually have a chance to win things?, probably about half of them, so the number gets smaller and who of them would need him and want him and then would he want to go there?.

I think we have a real good chance of keeping him when you think along those lines.

  11. A draining extra time with a moral fucking penalty lose that fucks them over for a few week please footballing gods. And a couple of muscle injures to key players also, nothing serious just enough to keep them out for the rest of the season:thup:

  12. I would love to go back to the 80's club badge, it is so much better than the current one.

I am probably a bit biased as it was on my first shirt as a kid, also bring back the silver away kit!.

Not really getting excited as such, but if they did go pop it will hopefully be the catalyst for change in football, no one wants to see anyone loose their job etc.

What would be good to see is the Everton media love in take a hit, for a crap team they get far more bias than the majority of the league and outside the cartel clubs they probably get the most.

No-one shed a tear when some lower league clubs went bust, perhaps it needs a "big" club to go that way for the long term good of football.
