  1. Rewatched the game and he had an excellent cameo.

Think he'll be the surprise of the season for us, genuinely think he has the ability to be a very very good player.

It wasn’t though, there was a number of winnable games that we struggled to break teams down and put it away.

A number of draws that were considered points dropped.

Because we didn't create enough or because we didn't finish well enough?

Longstaff alone could have had 10 last season.

  3. In terms of impact I think this one could be our most significant signing.

Murphy showed on Saturday how useful having a dribbling fullback can be for the team - instantly puts teams under pressure and distorts their shape so having someone like Livramento who has that to his game as well as defensive acumen could be a real game changer.

  4. Miley and Anderson getting game time will be absolutely critical for us when attracting the very best youngsters in the world.

But that aside, Miley in particular is definitely good enough for the 1st team, he looks excellent.

Not disagreeing that we’ve needed improvements on the wings, if Gordon can play there to a high standard we might be ok. However, the reason there was barely any rotation in our defence was because we largely stayed injury free and had barely anyone to cover

That and Howe said he preferred a settled back four - said as much when questioned about why Targett couldn't get in the team. But anytime he's tried to go after a game he's always looked to bring on wingers first and foremost.

  6. Aye, said it in another thread but our wingers were our most rotated players last season and with good reason.

I'd hooe there's a desire to ensure there's good quality in the depth we have in that position as there's a significant step down in quality after first change.

Genuinely.more excited by this than Barnes or Tonali.  If he can fulfil his potential i think this.coulould be an amazing signing.  Interesting to see where Howe wants him to play

Mad transition from the days where Habib Beye was the greatest RB we'd ever had[emoji38]

  8. Howe changed and rotated his wingers the most last season so I'd imagine it's an area he definitely wants depth in.

Joelinton, Willock and Murphy are all good options for that role but assuming Gordon is an immediate change for Barnes (or vica versa) then I'd assume he'd want another top quality wing option off the bench to replace Almiron assuming he's a starter.

FFP is a good idea in principle. In reality though, it's just locked in the advantages for those who have already spent their way to the top.

Don't think anyone's under the illusion as to what FFP is about but I'd much rather be the type of club that conquers it than the type of club that benefits from it.

Having a set hierarchy that isn’t allowed to change is far more unhealthy for the sport IMO.

The thing is we're exempt from that to some extent. We've got entire nation backing us so we know we'll eventually get there but fuck doing that in 1 year, much rather we take our time with it, and dodge the accusations of buying it.

Our future is guaranteed, FFP or not.

  11. Just me who doesn't mind the FFP constraints?

Worst thing to see in football is watching clubs buy their way to the top in a couple of windows.

Give me a slow and steady build any day of the week.

  12. Not sure where this idea that we need a creator comes from, as if to imply we just weren't creative enough last season.

Bit of perspective here, we were about 7 goals away from being title challengers last year and missed a fuck ton of chances in almost every game we played.

We very much need players who are clinical in the final 3rd.

Barnes is clinical in the final 3rd.

It feels like my love for Maxi is futile. The chance of him playing RW doesn’t seem high.  And Eddie loves Joelinton at LW too

Baffling he doesn't get a run out on the right. I swear I've seen him create so many chance from the few brief moments he's found himself out there.

Why do we care about that fraud

Always thought he was pretty well versed to be honest, plus he's a Leicester fan so you'd imagine he'd be all over this.

Still not convinced this is happening.
