Not his best game today but hopefully he just had an off day, looking forward to seeing him run the show against Everton.

Not his best game but he was being man marked the whole time so it was clearly their game plan which worked to an extent.

Goes to show how important it is that we get another midfielder with quality on the ball who can take that burden off Bruno.

Miggy could score 10 this season.

His acceleration, movement and off the ball running will get him into dangerous positions every single game, it's no coincidence that he often finds himself with the best chances.

Another midfielder with Bruno's vision and I'd go higher than 10.

    3 down, 7 to go.

Don't think enough is being said about the fact he's doing so well in a brand new position as well.

Must be a midfielders dream to play with like, always looking to run in behind.

  3. This is as much a tactical issue as it is a personnel one in my opinion.

I'm not even slightly concerned about the results we're getting, in fact if anything, I'm actually really pleased we're so hard to beat, but I would say I'd like to see more of a plan b or a slightly different approach to the game to negate the fact we don't really have the players that are best suited to this style of play.

  4. Not sure what the point of having a pacy attack is if we're only giving them 5 yards off the pitch to run into.

Nothing wrong with how we're playing, per se, we just we need to tweak our tactics a little bit and recognise that we need to make the best of the qualities that make us so dangerous on the break, ie with space to run into.

Nah but showing respect for the dead and the rest of their family does.

After stripping away all my views on politics and the monarchy, I have to say, I'm very much struggling to muster much respect for a lady who paid off her nonce sons legal fees (with other people's money) and even less so of the gentleman who's disregarded public opinion on the matter and popped Prince nonce straight back into the limelight.

    But anyway, I digress.

    Sensible decision by Wor Flags.

    agreed.

when a striker wants to keep himself onside he makes sure he's just in front or in line of  the defender to make sure. just because he's then leaning forward getting ready to sprint beyond the defender shouldnt make him offside.

Yeh seems crazy that the rules literally dictate that a forward should be behind the defender when the ball is being played - basically translates as 'the defender must have a headstart'

Shouting out of the telly on MOTD sn't going to change that. I'm certain communications will be made in private.

Dunno like, Fergie basically invented the ploy and it worked a treat.

Might be my own search history bias but I search for "VAR'' in Google News, I'm getting far more on Moyes and Marsch, than I am Eddie Howe and Newcastle United, even though only 1 of those teams have been habitually screwed by VAR.

    What about you?

  8. Tend to agree that Howe's been a bit of a soft touch with decisions that have gone against us.

Certainly don't want a manager who's gonna bemoan every single decision that hasn't gone our way, but when the quality of the officiating has ended up costing us on such a demonstrably consistent basis, then he should absolutely be using his profile and reach to apply some pressure on the right people in order to agitate a change.

Being dignified about it and taking it in your stride just makes you easier to ignore.

  9. 8/10 - Evolution not revolution which is pretty much what we got.

Bit of an anticlimax last day tbh but pulling off the most ambitious signing since Alan Shearer is about as big a statement as our owners could possibly have made and that gets me stupidly excited for the future.
