We should be targeting players with potential who will flourish under Howe, young talent that can grow into the side or be profitable.

Antonio Nusa of Brugge, see teams like Brentford being linked in January for €25m but then holding off until the summer, we should be all over that, he's got huge potential.

    Likewise with this Dean Huijsen,

Hope we're braver on youth than in the past, much rather see us target talent with potential, than paying over the odds for squad fillers, or relegated teams wantaways.

With FFP restraints this is exactly what we should be doing and would hope with our new improved scout network this is what we’ll do.

Not sure like. I think a sweeper keeper who can actually use his feet would be transformative.

Keeper who can sweep and central defender with pace, lets us play with high line would be transformative.

  3. I wouldn’t want to be boosting their economy every fortnight no thanks. Besides it’s a bleak fucking shit hole and would be depressing as fuck after the novelty of taking over the place had worn off. The local boozers would bump their prices and take our eye balls out and you’d inevitably have to give a gobby little mackem scrote a good hiding at some point risking a jail term.

Just send the bulldozers into Castle Leazes now and start fucking digging.

Pure conjecture but I don't think PIF are as invested in us as City's owner's. They'll invest as much as they can with us. But they've not the multi-club thing or done the courtroom thing.

City's approach is football domination. They will do anything necessary to win. Cheat. Use hacks. Resist transparency when they get investigated. It's like a Mafia boss. It's win or bust - no in between. Willing to antaganise the footballing authorities and establishment when they have too and take it to court.

PIF haven't done any of that. Played within the rules and not looked to push back hard.

Multi club is on the way and being looked at by the club, patience College we won’t be 2nd fiddle to Abu Dhabi forever.

The more you look at it, the more sensibly we seem to have played it - playing nice while the rules blow up on their own, and no longer being billy-no-mates in the playground.

Where playing a blinder, complying with the rules, pissing off Levy and the red tops and slowly exerting more influence to the point the big 6 is no more.

Someone else on here mentioned he was homesick a while back but didn’t know whether the Carling Cup win and Clark’s role over Jan to March had changed that.

Be interesting to see what happens, hard one to put a transfer value on and no doubt scousers would try and take our eyeballs out.

The genuine ITK stuff was before my time here but has the cold-reading skills of an expert psychic so he deserves credit for that at least.

In the dark days of the takeover found Ando’s keep the faith messages very soothing.

  8. If staying at SJP it needs to be a full refurb like the Bernabau, though any investment is welcome I’d be very disappointed if it’s just sticking another tier on the Gallowgate.

The whole ground and infrastructure is dated and quite simply if the East Stand remains in its current guise, the claims made in Edwards article wouldn’t stand up as it would be miles off being in top 5 stadia in this country.

  9. He was pretty shite at Blackburn there’s 2 examples, also thought he was very quiet when he came on yesterday apart from the ball to Wilson.

Got no doubt he’ll be useful at home when we’ve got plenty of the ball and are on top, but let’s not forget even Leicester dropped him in a must win away game against us.

Jurys still out for me considering fee.

  10. Thought his performance at Palace told us more personally, might be great at home when we’re on top of teams, but he certainly won’t be a game changer away from home when we’re under the cosh against better teams.

Decent squad player but at 40 million he was a luxury and money could have been better spent.

  11. Needs to sign somebody technical and creative in the summer if he’s got the keys to the summer warchest.

As great as Gordon is we need a Cole Palmer type on the right who can unlock the door.

Big summer for Eddie needs to show he has the vision to take us to next level.

If Bruno is likely to go, and if Man City get serious I think he will, then Diomande will be the type of high ceiling player we could aim to invest in.

If Man Utd are serious about Todibo then it leaves it really between Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool who could hit anywhere near to what they’re aiming for fee wise. However Spurs now have Dragusin, VDV and Romero there and Chelsea are constricted by PSR. If Liverpool don’t want him then I fancy we get him.

I think we get him for 45 - 50 and Bruno wont be going fucking anywhere.
