  1. Crazy money when City have just paid 30 million for Cherki.
  2. Like where going to give them their Kelly money back daft cunts.
  3. Honestly, so far I’d be happy with Trafford and would have paid the premium for Cunha based on his ability and potential ceiling. Bar that not really.
  4. Can remember Swansea fans singing it at SJP back in the 90’s from the Milburn Paddock. Sang it much more in tune than the these daft cunts as well. Edit just read that thread on groomers and it’s page 7 before anyone acknowledges one of the most famous, original and local songs linked with a British football club, funny that.
  5. Rogers and Kamara are the only 2 i’d take from Villa, swapping one injury prone midfielder who goes missing for large chunks of the game for another would be underwhelming.
  6. Could be waiting for new CEO to announce it sure Eales due to go this month ?

    João Pedro

There’s at least another 2 allegedly on the list in Guehi and Elanga that fall in the same category, think we’ll have our eye balls taken out for both, or have to pivot and that’s when the extent of our scouting network and will to explore other markets will be tested.

Seems mixed messages to me on one hand Howe says we can’t sign established stars, yet for me that’s exactly what Pedro, Cunha and Mbeumo are with prices to match. We don’t have the income of the cartel clubs, but seem loathe to take a risk on signings like this Greek lad. The cartel clubs are quite happy to let other clubs take the risk and then pay the premium, we seem caught between two stools for me. Can’t blame a manager for not taking risks when you’re under pressure after 2 defeats these days, but we seem very risk averse with this PL experience approach.
  9. Yeah ticks all the boxes also like that Lamine Camara at Monaco who would also fit well in our midfield 3.
  10. Did Ederson not tail off a bit last season sure he was on the bench a few times I looked.
  11. Could see scousers coming in for Gordon if Diaz goes, but wouldn’t want Barnes as first choice on the left next season. Selling Gordon is only an option if we’ve got a top drawer replacement lined up.
  12. Where not Brighton we don’t sell our best players.
  13. Head down pacey wingers are great when there’s space and playing in transition, but we’ve got one of these in Gordon. How many times last season would people pull their hair out with Gordon due to his lack of awareness and poor final ball. Our biggest failing is composure in the final third where we can’t break teams down at home and we end up forcing things and running out of ideas. If Elanga is our major attacking signing this summer he solves none of those problems, no matter how great a coach Howe is, after 2 plus years he still hasn’t solved this with Gordon.
  14. The lad from Monaco has played CL last season and is technically brilliant, would give us something completely different.
  15. Ooh ah Franz Carr say ooh ah Franz Carr
  16. Plan B McAtee by any chance ?
  17. I still cling to the belief that Eddie was behind the Isak, Botman, Bruno and Tonali signings, because as time goes by our transfer strategy looks very predictable and if I dare say boring as fuck.
  18. Miley should have started in the middle last game of the season instead of changing the whole formation due to 1 man being out, after being trusted in CL games the previous season can see why he’d be frustrated.
  19. Yeah our bench has no difference makers just players you’d bring on to see out the game, including a keeper a minimum of 5 players required for me. This is why the scouting network and not paying over the odds for PL players is crucial. Suspect we’ll get 3 tops and the narrative will be that we’ve prioritised quality over quantity.
  20. No would leave us criminally short with all the extra games to play. Where in a tricky situation with limited funds where we need to improve the first 11 but also the squad depth.
  21. Would take Dibling much higher ceiling than Elanga, even if he does look a lazy twat at times with his socks rolled down Waddle esque.
  22. Be interested to know how many of Elanga’s appearances were from the bench last season, from my recollection he wasn’t a starter every week ? Don’t dislike the player and yes he ticks boxes, but he isn’t changing the outcome in any game we lost at home this season and importantly might only slightly raise the bar in relation to Murphy. Be very disappointed with Elanga and while Mitchell might well be a cunt, I think he’d have a point with our scouting not being fit for purpose if we shell out 40 million on him.
  23. If we signed Guehi, Elanga and Trafford this summer it’s clear that would come to around 120 million at least. Fully on board with spending 30 million on Trafford, think having a top keeper who is comfortable on the ball will make such a difference. Think the other 2 would improve squad depth and give us pace down the right side, however don’t think they take us to the next level. It would leave us short of striker and midfield cover as can’t see the budget stretching any further and don’t think it would solve any of the problems we’ve had with breaking down middle of the road teams at home this season. Guehi and Elanga are safe unimaginative signings that don’t excite me one bit and do nothing but consolidate us as a top 8 team in my opinion.
  24. Hates Sam Fender though so instant hero.
  25. It’s going to be Elanga for 40 million I’ve got no doubt.
