Assumed folks were bored of me prattling on about York  but yes, they've had a remarkable turnaround having been 15th at one point at the turn of the year, which was a truly dismal state of affairs. Incredible result at Brackley who've been streets ahead of basically everyone but Gateshead.

The play-offs are harsh but those who finished higher did earn fewer games to progress and guaranteed home legs, so I don't feel too bad for em.

Sadly can't make the final but not devastated on account not having to observe of the 150-odd little bellends in the support who insist on being wannabe hooligans smashing up seats and storming the pitch before FT.

To be fair this whole hooligan-wannabe scene seems to be making a comeback. Just look at the likes of Kings Lynn and Telford.

    Four months?

Lee Forster ️ on Twitter: "@CoreOfNufc @ToonUnited2 @nufctrust Meetings with charities and the pledge Guardians have to be set up, and take place to allow them to put forward their plans and representations to secure funds. That process has been going on for a few weeks / months, and is now drawing to a close. Updates will follow soon." / Twitter

Edit: Please. Someone. Teach me how to embed Twitter links. This is torture.

Like people (a) aren't paying enough for a ticket and (b) there isn't a cost of living crisis. Classic Tory.

Speaking of the cost of living crisis, any update on those charity donations being made yet @Gregso that the charities can use them to help those in need?

Just talked to a representative.  They said something about the meetings and all that to find the right charity slowly grinding to an end.

    Was not expecting that.

Gotta draw the line somewhere, especially if they help us get promoted - one hell of a beautiful goal from JJ I must admit.

Blyth 4 points clear of bottom place Guisley, in the Conference North - 3 games left for the 4 sides down there. Think it will go right to the wire. :(

So next season, South Shields only one league above North Shields? :)

This is correct. South Shields is one league below Blyth, York etc.

That was the puzzling thing. He had them second, two points behind the leaders.

Think it might have been Matlock at that time but since then they’ve allowed Buxton to catch up and overtake.

Surprised he hasn’t surfaced somewhere else in the meantime. ?

It was a really odd decision to sack him given where they were like, and considering the last season was stopped due to covid with no promotions it wasn't really his fault they weren't already up.

Was there any word as to why Fenton was removed?

Fenton had them in a good position and at least his team was able to hold onto a lead.

Quite a few matches since Phillips took over where the conceded and gave up winning positions, and that has cost them hugely.

Something to do with not being as high in the league constantly as they expected (total bollocks - I reckon it was something external)

    Aw shame.

    (We like South Shields aye?)

Some do, some don't. Mixed reception. Only full-time team left outside of the Vanarama National North as they've cocked up relegation something stupid like every season for the last 4.

Any particularly reason why you missed Spennymoor out, or just forgot? Certainly far more local than York. They drew 1-1 with 2nd place Brackley which helps Gateshead a bit after they too dropped points today.

Forgot - will include next time.

I live in Blyth , it's not a shit hole  I come from Wallsend .Blyth has some great parts and  some rough parts like most if not every other towns around the country.

To be honest I find you a bit of an arsehole by saying that .

Your opinion of me, doesn't affect me :cheesy:

out of interest , since you seem to want to often have a pop at Blyth, sadly, this shithole you say , are you talking ground or area ?

Both, the ground is canny bad too imo, too cramped if you get what angle I'm coming from.

Needs a change of ownership. Been a disaster since the binned off Alun Armstrong, for daring to reach the Conf North playoffs.

I personally think Blyth is a shithole but on a club level I feel bad, no north east club deserves to be surviving relegation 2 seasons in a row due to covid - things surely have to improve soon for yous.

The ladies are doing really well too.

Been doing big improvements since they partnered with one of the American academies through Northumbria University (if I remember correctly it is that uni).
