  1. he’s addressing what’s been a problem. with the new back line idea. it’s probably going to be scrappy like this until our midfield is beefed up again. keep going eddie

It’s when we have to play a midfield 3 of Bruno, Longstaff and Miley. It leaves too many gaps, is weak and gets overrun. We looked back to our solid midfield when Joelinton was in there, where we control the game. Was evident to see when he went off that we lost a bit of control.

It’s one or the other for me out of Longstaff and Miley (I know we don’t have options unfortunately) as when they both play we look very susceptible and unable to control the middle.

Think Longstaff gets away with being carried through games a little when he has a strong pairing with him, but he doesn’t step up when a young kid like Miley comes in.

For me it isn’t so much as protection in front of the back 4 we need, and more about getting our players back and getting that strong midfield line up and running again, which has served us so well.

agree with this. fortunately Eddie and club addressed it with Tonali but unfortunately…. aye.

I had a vague recollection of Liverpool being really poor away last season. Results from the start of the season until April, wins in bold:

    Fulham 2-2

    Man United 2-1

    Everton 0-0

    Arsenal 3-2

    Forest 1-0

    Spurs 1-2

    Villa 1-3

    Brentford 3-1

    Brighton 3-0

    Wolves 3-0

    Newcastle 0-2

    Palace 0-0

    Bournemouth 1-0

    Man City 4-1

Sometimes these things happen. It's the manager's job to put things right but it's also the supporters' job not to wet themselves and get on the back of a proven manager at the first sign of trouble, especially when his team is filling in the gaps by winning every home game as Liverpool were and as we are.

some sense. Eddie will sort it .. he’s good at this job

  6. from near certain relegation to a champions league, and a team that’s still chomping on the heels of the top 4 with a whole first squad out injured. absolutely incredible this bloke

  7. was worried this run of games would be tough on the lad when Longstaff was injured.. but he hasn’t put a foot wrong. Be a huge player for us in years ahead. Bit more confidence and experience under his belt, he’s going to be ridiculously good
