Whilst I can't argue at the fact he gave us our longest unbroken top flight run since the 50's, the majority of it was scraping relegation, survival and misery. Short bought the club from Quinns consortium who managed to get us back into the Premiership and had Keane as manager which seemed the perfect fit. Short seemed to just chuck money at it in the hope something worked, He continiously made bad decisions by appointing wrong people in the boardroom and wrong key decision makers which ultimatley resulted in bad players on huge wages. Whilst Short wiped the debt from the club it was his doing so that created the mess in the first place, He also wiped it because nobody would have touched it with a bargepole, Hence why it was flogged to two dell-boys with the clubs own parachute money who looked to flip it for a quick profit. Short left the club to rot by the end, He gave up on almost everything to the point we had no scouting system, youth coaches had left and gone elsewhere, He asked Martin Bain to asset strip anything for money once we were relegated from the Premiership. I'm sure we didn't even have a club doctor for half a season at one point in the Championship. The funds and squad he left Grayson with for the Championship season was nothing short of a disgrace, He made no attempt to salvage the club from Championship relegation in the January window either and we ultimatley went down. He didn't even bother to ring Chris Coleman to welcome him as the manager and never spoke to him once during his reign. His intentions started off well, He was then out of his depth, badly advised and ultimatley threw the towel in with little respect or dignity in trying to salvage the club as it snowballed into obscurity. I get he wiped the debt, but he was left with little to no choice really, it was either that or see the entire club go bust completely.

and I have absolutely no issue with that whatsoever.

Why should you be allowed to come out with absolute rubbish and me not defend it? Is it some form of hierachy because you have been here longer? You made out the fans harshly hounded out 7 managers in 6 years, I responded with my justification of why they were sacked and you then agreed with the justification of the sackings to another poster, Which is why I said “Are you on glue” - I.E. How can you accuse us of hounding managers out then agree with the reasons why they were sacked. You said Short piled money in and then when the club had to stand on its own two feet he stopped the cash. He was the sole reason the club was in masses and masses of debt, nobody else. Ellis Short was not a good owner and I will debate and defend that until I’m blue in the face. You then went on some bizzare angle about Sunderland fans not wanting to buy tickets which is part of the problem You then alluded to managers being sacked and given outright abuse, I still have no idea who you are referring to here or if that was about Sunderland or Newcastle. I’m allowed my opinion on my own football club, You self labelling stuff as ‘hard facts about his club’ doesn’t make what you say true.
-
Na, You directly have been the issue by posting a load of rubbish which I responded to if the truth was known. Some of your fellow mates even alluded to it within the thread if you read back.
-
Where has it been openly encouraged?
-
I didnt compare this to the SMB
-
The board has close to 3,000 members, You are obviously going to get absolute weapons in them numbers. Imagine grouping 3000 Newcastle fans together and giving them all a keyboard and a computer to hide behind, There would be a minority of absolute arseclarts too.
-
I had an account years ago before deactivating and now just read and dont post anymore as the majority of threads are ruined by idiots. Typically use 606 and a few various other general football ones which are quite good.
-
Not broken at all, I have gave responses to anything that’s been asked.
-
Well I don’t understand it really, Why are people bothered about recorded attendances? It has no bearing on anything whatsoever. The support for the club is fantastic and is only deemed anything other than that by Newcastle supporters and maybe a few from the likes of Boro, Leeds and co. You will have Newcastle fans going on about our support yet won’t even go to your own games (The same applies both ways by the way) - I just never understand why people are arsed.
-
Probably not, I think they automatically count full season ticket sales for every game + individual game by game tickets sold. Numerous ST holders wont be at every game but will be accounted for in each home game. Not really sure why people care about this sort of shite either, our support is fantastic regardless of what many Newcastle fans will say for where the club has been.

Ballard will be the one that goes for mega money i think, Just a prediction.. Theres also Clarke, Patterson, Alese, Ba, Cirkin and a few others.
-
Ross was given more time than anyone, I did like him to be honest he was just too defensive and it cost us big time in big games. Neil was already pally with the Directors at Stoke, I dont think he liked worked for a DoF here and the wage increase at Stoke will have helped..

12M annually isn’t a huge loss, With the model being put in place that can be rectified by one sale. KLD has invested heavily in infrastructure which has openly been discussed as an operating loss in the first year. Yearly accounts will also run off the back of the league one season too.
-
No idea, Nobody really knows how much KLD has to his name, It'll be interesting to see if he brings other players into the fold, goes for it himself or sells up once we get back to the Prem. I like him though, he's very switched on and has barely put a foot wrong so far.
-
Yes I did, albeit it indirectly as I mentioned above in the previous post as I quoted another poster, see here :- None of Grayson, Ross or Parkinson deserved more time, It's mental to even suggest it. Grayson won 3 games out of 18 Ross as mentioned was the best we have had since Neil but ultimatley failed to get us out of L1 with the biggest budget and arguably on paper, best squad. Parkinson Mowbray has actually exceeded my expectations so far but he won't be the man for the long run, He's there for stability and anything else is a bonus, hence his two year contract.
-
We aren't losing money hand over fist though, that's the point, It's a model to prevent that from happening.
-
You haven't asked me a question for me to respond to. You stated that the fans have hounded managers out and identified that 'seven managers since 2017' proves this. I questioned you back and asked which manager should have stayed or not been sacked (albeit quoted another post from another poster), I didn't get a response to that. I compiled the list of seven managers and provided my reasonings why they were sacked. You then replied to someone else, Who alluded to my point that the sackings were justified and agreed with it. You aren't making much sense here
-
You said we have had 7 managers since 2017 and then went on a rant about the fans backing all the decisions Short made and how it's the fans fault. Short had absolutely zero bearing on any of the managers we appointed since Chris Coleman as he sold the club in 2018 following relegation. All of the managers that have been sacked since 2017 have been completely justified, I listed them earlier in this thread.
-
What a bizarre take on things, You really do have some weird agenda.
-
Maybe so, my concern is also flogging every player we receive decent money for, So the proof will the in the pudding, As I said earlier in the thread, the new ownership structure and appointments are positive and they have done nothing wrong so far, so for me they get a thumbs up to keep cracking on as they are.
