    Nick Woltemade

I’m a big fan of players who can play in multiple positions, and it looks like you could play him anywhere down the spine and he would give you something, including keeper with that reach 😋
  2. I imagine somewhere in his contract is a condition that he needs to play when available. If he refuses to play to an acceptable standard I wonder if we have any legal recourse to not pay him for that period?
  3. I think we’re beyond being fussy with our targets now. Let’s just pick up as many good value targets as we can get and move them next year for a profit.
  4. I don’t understand why we keep dragging these transfers on when we know they likely won’t go through. Surely we knew his preference was Man U from our first contact, we shouldn’t be putting bids in if the player hasn’t agreed to come.
  5. I mean, I wouldn’t be against taking Nunez for £30m as a Wilson replacement I suppose… So it wouldn’t be a disastrous deal…

    Malick Thiaw

I don’t think Thiaw even makes our starting 11 at the moment. But he’s solid back up and the right age, especially if we can pick him up for around the €20m mark. With Schar, Burn, and Lascelles all the wrong side of 30, and with Botman’s injury history, we probably need to bring in more then one CB.
  7. We’re a bit hamstrung with the Isak situation. If he’s definitely leaving it would have been better to bite the bullet and offload him early in the window, at the moment it’s hard to make decisions on players when we don’t know how much money is available. We’ve strengthened GK and significantly strengthened RW, while slightly weakening midfield rotations and back up CF. If we bring in Wissa and a better midfielder the Longstaff (Gallagher?) we go into next season with a stronger squad then last year. Bring in a quality CB such as Scalvini and suddenly it’s a great transfer window.
