  1. Nice bunch of fans from Sunderland, graceful in defeat. Filled leppings lane and had no problems no crying about it being tight.
  2. Obviously some of our fans have stated it isn't a load of rubbish whether you like that or not. Unless you were actually in the away end, then I don't think you're in a position to comment. Newcastle fans commenting on 1989 semi, does your logic on not in a position to comment on that apply?
  3. Looks as though, as suspected a load of rubbish. Talks of the risk factors of alcohol too. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64331470
  4. “It doesn't matter when fans turn up, clubs have a corporate responsibility to ensure the welfare of supporters.” agree, and the club went above and beyond, look at previous my first post that outlined this. “This issue hasn't occured at any other ground” I don’t believe that, it happened to us at the stain playing piggy’s. Nothing was made of it though. anyway I’m off. good luck for rest of the season.
  5. You mention football fan mentality, is your opinion the same when it comes to fans mentality with regards to being out drinking all day then 1 minute before kick off trying to get into the ground all at once, not going too there allocated seats and just try stand behind the goal blocking the entrance? Our fans are the same.
  6. Wouldn’t need too if the stupid tweet wasn’t made. Always thought your fans were ok, in fact a pal ex owl went too an away match at yours and ended up supporting Newcastle 😂 but we get sick of our club being dragged through the mud. It’s been on sky sports, 5 live bbc so of course we’re going to be objective to false claims.
  7. I believe it’s had more scrutiny and safety checks and legislation against it than any other stadium in the country… even to this day there is a third party safety advisor group on behalf of hse, that make stupid decisions over hillsborough. Giving sanctions and closing large sections of the ground unnecessarily. the the stadium has been to full capacity with no problems. Go figure.
  8. There are Newcastle fans that did go and say it’s bull, it’s the others that have an agenda.
  9. Not really, it is however weird that a stupid pathetic “journalist” takes a crap picture that shows nothing and causes hysteria from a false non story. It’s obvious he’s made it up for clout off the back of the 1986 semi final there. - you was allocated less tickets than what the west stand holds. - less fans attended through the turnstiles than what was allocated. - the turnstiles opened 2 hours earlier (2pm) than what is required. - there was more stewards employed than what is required (admittedly they don’t seem interested in doing the job, maybe they get disgruntled by drunken fans or the pay who knows) - the vlogs on social, show no evidence of this in fact to the contrary. Some show your fans spitting at our players though but hey hoo. - your own fans have said nothing happened. - no reports of any injuries. Using 1989’ semi for your own agenda is sick. I hope that the reporter is sued being liable to slander.
