Top 4 is a realistic possibility. If anybody said that this time last year they'd be taken away. It's been a fantastic season so far hopefully it'll continue to be. Alternatively it might go tits up.

Had a look on Blue Moon forum. The reactions range from 'we're fucked' to ' our legal team will tie them in knots'

I’d be amazed and disappointed if Murphy is starting over ASM and Gordon. I’m a ASM fan and I’d go for him, but why sign a £45m wide attacker then start Murphy?
I understand Newcastle are a defence first team, but scoring has become more difficult now teams come for the draw, so I do think you have to take a bit more risk and play your best attackers - especially absent Bruno
Murphy always plays right side. ASM for me, if he doesn't I can't see him starting another game.

Only saw the replay on the big screen, did he mean it or just get unlucky?
Unlucky imo, however it was a red.

Ripple effect through the squad? If anyone in the squad is sitting there thinking he doesn't deserve to be best paid they need rooting out. They should see being outstanding for the club gets rewarded. I do kinda agree dealing with contacts after season makes a degree of sense but it would hardly be a bad decision. Real Madrid may come in with £100m first day in summer and we can resist that better if he's signed new deal
If Real Madrid come in for him I think it'd be impossible to keep him. Man Utd couldn't stop Ronaldo from going.
The upside is if Real Madrid want any of our players we're doing fucking tremendously well.

With Pope and our back four you'd think it'd be impossible to balls this up.
Southampton will come at as early imo and leave gaps for us to penetrate. Just hope the finishing is better than last Tuesday.

I think we'll get a clear picture of both of our teams in the next five league games.
We have Palace (H), Leeds (H), Leeds (A), Leicester (H), Brentford (H).
You have West Ham (H), Bournemouth (A), Liverpool (H), Brighton (H), Man City (A).
How many points would you boys expect from those 5?
I'd take 10 points if offered it now.

I’ve warmed to Jonjo recently but let’s face it, he’s strictly a bottom half player.
Admire him for putting in the work under Howe though. Hope he does well at Forest if he goes.
Hopefully does well against Spurs, Man Utd, Liverpool and the others around us. A 25 yarder free kick going in would be really sweet.

Kind of like a an old family pet passing away this. Feels like he’s been here forever. Some great moments in an NUFC shirt. Wish him well.
Equaliser v Man City a few seasons ago was possibly his best.
