  1. Great debut for me. I know I’m going OTT but he Reminded me of Bruno’s little pirouette (sp?) when he made his first appearance from the bench last season. Gordon’s turn and pass to Longstaff was excellent for a first touch on debut and the through ball to Wilson just made me even more excited. He brings a real sharpness of thought and movement. Can’t wait to see him and Bruno ping the ball around like they did in that spell during the semis of the cup. Not seen that kind of football for years! considering he looked like a YTS kid when they filmed him meeting his teammates…he is surprisingly tall. Hope he fills out soon!
  2. Interesting view. I see where you are coming from but for me ASM is too wasteful with the ball. Miggy has discovered a scoring touch and creates a pace of movement because he passes the ball! Others have commented on him being one footed and predictable but his run of form would be invaluable if he got his mojo back. I really hope ASM rediscovers his form but for me he just doesn’t suit the standard of team we now are. Reminds me of Adama Traore. Looks great in full flow but where is the output?
  3. Interesting you don’t rate Willock. I don’t dislike him but I struggle with why he always looks knackered. Shows how fit Longstaff is as he covers a lot more ground per game longstaff 12.1km/game willock 10.8km/game
  4. I like the idea of Isak starting in either the usual 4-3-3 or a flexible 4-4-2. His work in the channels should draw some of the markers away from Wilson and I could see the latter benefitting from that. I love ASM when he is on form but I just don’t think we can afford to carry his work rate and wastefulness any more. You could see him trying to up his work rate after half time on Saturday but Gordon brought so much more when he came on. I could forgive Howe allowing Gordon more time to get his fitness and cohesion with his teammates right. Hence why I’d prefer Isak as a more attacking outlet and goal scorer on Saturday evening.
