  1. It isn’t unexpected, you hope that they will be lenient like they were with Harry Toffolo due to the circumstances.

Foden and Bellingham are the new Gerrard and Lampard for England, seen as too good to leave out but we can’t find the right formation to accommodate both.

Paqueta will be in double figures for fouls tonight at this rate.

Gallagher is a really good player, I don’t know why he gets as much criticism as he does.
  5. Strange decision for the keeper to come for that considering the angle, she didn’t even attempt to dive at her feet properly.
  6. I don’t think it’s about overestimating the Europa League, more that they will see the difference between qualifying for Europe as a competition that they can enter and potentially win, as well as looking to push on with the league. Qualifying for Europe, even if it is the Conference League will give a sense that we achieved something this season, without that I don’t see players staying around for potentially another season like this if they have better options come their way.
  7. If we don’t get European football there will be a number of players wanting to leave if the right offer comes in. We have to accept that and hope we can buy well.
  8. We should have been looking at another centre back anyway before Botman was injured, I don’t think his injury means we need to sign 2 CB’s now though, being realistic about what we can spend next season.
  9. Unlikely, as Howe appears to view youngsters as a last rest. More likely we will see Dummett.
  10. It is shambolic, Howe has also said he is playing Longstaff too with an injury. You have to wonder how many of these players are either being rushed back from injury or forced to play when they are not 100% fit.
  11. I am not going to put them in order but Rob Edwards always gets underrated. He took Forest Green Rovers to League One for the first time in their history playing a great style of attacking football with wingbacks and two up top, he then got sacked by Watford after a few games before joining their rivals and gaining promotion which nobody expected, he now has a chance of keeping them in the Premier League despite spending hardly any money adding to what was an already average Championship squad. What I like is his sides keep going to the final whistle, despite the obvious quality in players on the pitch. It would be interesting to see how many times they have picked up points late. If he hadn’t represented Wales at International level I would have him down as a future England manager.

    Alexander Isak

It can’t be much fun for him being isolated up top with no support, often expected to chase down defenders with no realistic possibility of winning the ball and looking to capitalise on scraps. I wouldn’t blame him if he isn’t enjoying his football at the moment.
  13. I am really upset that people have a different opinion to me, we never had this issue when we all hated Steve Bruce.
  14. Fingers crossed the international break will give us a chance to reset but I’m not holding out much hope.
  15. It is easy to keep producing good academy players for the first team when you poach the best ones from other clubs when they are 16.
