I was looking through the thread for the picture of Isak wearing the supposed away shirt and came across this. This is the new away kit.

While much hasn’t changed with the formation over both seasons, the better coaches will have watched us and figured out a way to exploit our weaknesses, which is what has happened with the gap between the centre backs and Bruno. Signing a DM would make a lot of sense, it would mean we could shake up our style of play against the better teams away from home by switching from a 4-3-3 to a 4-2-3-1 which would both offer the centre back more protection and free up a midfielder to link up with the attack on the counter, which we should be better at with both Gordon and Isak in the team. It would also allow Bruno to get some rest in other games rather than needing him every game. Plus, it keeps opposition manners having to plan for different scenarios in their preparation to face us. We don’t need to spend big money on the position, even if it’s a squad player like Wilfred Ndidi who is out of contract could work in improving our away form if money is tight.

I have also seen the away kit. The one that Isak is wearing isn’t it, although close.

I’ve been told the home kit is being released on the 5th, I’m not sure if that is to buy then or the unveiling.

Chelsea are one of the most successful British clubs in his life time and have finished above us in the league all but once in 20 years maybe? unless they are a fan then there won’t be many that pick us over them.

A three year deal benefits him just as much as us, if he does well he can negotiate a much better deal quickly and if he wants to move on he can negotiate himself a nice signing on fee somewhere else.
-
The thing with Mbuemo is I don’t see any great untapped potential with him in the way I do with someone like Gibbs-White, he strikes me as someone who what you see is what you get. He would still be a steady signing and would improve the team but I think there are alternatives out there that have a higher ceiling.
-
He’s an upgrade on Almiron but every bit as one footed.

Reports that Sky in Germany are saying than Karim Adeyemi is for sale and is Premier League bound, which Dortmund have denied. Promising player coming off a not so great season, sounds like the sort we would go for.
-
I can’t see us bringing in 2 strikers unless one is a youngster for the reserves or to be loaned out.
-
Hopefully Southampton want to keep Ryan Fraser now.
-
There is a difference between expecting a top four finish and expecting to challenge for a top four finish though.
-
We were 8 points away despite having a tough champions league group and the worst injury list in the league. Worth remembering that despite the above we still had 4th best home record in the league. Injuries don’t show our squad isn’t there yet, it showed that if you have an unusually high level of injuries then your performances on the pitch will suffer.
-
If you can demonstrate that something is achievable for 2 seasons in a row, there isn’t anything wrong with expecting to be challenging for it in the third season. Obvious caveats in that with injuries etc.
-
Nothing wrong with going in to the season having an ambition of 4th or thinking it is achievable, we did it the year before last and only finished 8 points off last years despite the worst injury record in the league and a tough CL group.

They still owe £190 million on players, including £73.6 million which needs to be paid before the end of June. https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/football/leeds-united/leeds-united-still-owe-ps190-million-for-andrea-radrizzani-era-transfers-as-annual-accounts-details-revealed-4587025

I doubt it as they have just qualified for the Champions League, the same way nobody was saying it about Howe last summer.
-
I think so too if we go overseas.
-
I wouldn’t be surprised if we moved for Antonine Semenyo, he is coming off the back of his first full season in the Premier League where he scored 8 goals, he is capable of going up a few more levels too. He played well in both games against us and was probably the best player on the pitch at SJP. He is capable of playing in all of the front three positions too. He is unlikely to cost silly money either.

In unsurprising news…

He will be under pressure to achieve next season, as he should be but that goes with the territory of managing a club that now has high ambitions. If he can sort our away form out then we will be up there pushing the teams at the very top. However, if he doesn’t or we have another season of mass injuries then the club will make the change. I am on the side of him sorting our away form out and I hope he can do it.
