Have serious reservations about Chiesa after his ACL injury. Hasnt been the same but if it was a loan with an option to buy i cant see any reason why we wouldn't.

We dont need 50m players that will take quite a while to start regularly. We need players for that money coming in and making an impact quickly. Theres no hiding place in this league, we need to consolidate our place among the top teams.

Its to do with money more than anything. We could get north of 30m for him and invest it in weak positions LB/RW. We already have Gordon/Isak/Joelinton/Willock who can play that LW. You aint getting much money for Ritchie/Fraser/Murphy

We have Joelinton/Longstaff playin the Thuram position. No need for him when we are crying out for a RW and LB. We have Gordon/ASM for LW.

We need at least a LB and RW in this window. Im not too worried about CB as Burn can cover there if we get an LB in. Pace at the back an issue tho. Stottie above is 100% correct as much as we love Miggy and his work rate he just doesnt create.

Finishing top 4 has raised expectations way too high and alot of people want big things too quickly (myself included). We just cant compete financially with the established teams due to FFP in the short term. That will hopefully be less of a constraint in a few years. Gutted we didnt target Szobozlai but im still excited to see who we sign next. LB and RF should be priorities. After that if we see a more creative midfielder at the right price we should definitely sign one. Im worried with all these extra games relying on just Bruno for creativity could be detrimental. I know Tonali can play the 8 but he hasnt enough creativity imo.

Szobozlai was a perfect fit for us. Worth ethic, creativity, drive, high ceiling etc. Think its the fact hes going to a top 4 rival that annoys me the most.

Trent wont be playing midfield if they don't buy a right back

If the Szobozlai release clause expires then Leipzig have everyone by the balls. They have already sold Nkunku and Gvardiol looks like hes going for big money. They have no need to sell Szobozlai and could demand stupid money. Today will be interesting if a bid goes in from us or Liverpool.
