IMO our priorities should be 1st choice GK, 1st choice RCB, 1st choice RW, and backup striker. Assuming nobody is sold, and the ones whose contracts are expiring can leave (Wilson, Lascelles, Ruddy, etc.). Give Schar a 1-year extension to be the backup RCB.

I think avoiding Europe also helped us with keeping a few more players fit for the league and the Carabao.

Anyone know which of the current competitions the 1969 Fairs Cup would have compared to? The Conference League, is it?

There was one instance where I wish he took a shot from inside six yards instead of trying to pass to Schar (?).

I'd be curious to know what's the criteria to get a medal. Do you at least have to be named among the subs, etc.

Very impressive turnaround for his cross for our second goal after he struggled to put in any crosses with his left foot against West Ham. Not that I had any expectations of his forward play yesterday, I just wanted him to keep Salah quiet, and boy did he do that immaculately! The cross was the cherry on the cake.

Woke up yesterday morning with optimism, but started to feel nervous the closer we got to kick-off and just wanted the game to be over with. Was almost in tears at half-time since we were leading 1-0, but said to myself that I shouldn't be getting ahead of myself. Hugged some of the folks around me at full-time. All this after I hesitated about going to the game due to the exorbitant Club Wembley ticket price, injuries, suspension, our recent form and playing the league leaders. Just a magical experience.

I was thinking that the team that will start in the final would start this one? Playing the same team consistently has its benefits. I'll trust Howe either way. Really hoping that Botman and Hall are back.
