  1. Im not sure this is correct - he may have whatever club in his ear about "well buy you anyway, wrap in cotton wool" and he might feel the same given the swedish WC group and chances of qualifying, which look decent
  2. If an sell on clause was agreeable after september 1st, id much prefer to lose him for 120m with the CL qualification again. Simple message from Howe - "if you want to go on the cheap, go and score 30 goals next season" It would be gauling, to see him go for 120m - but I'd much prefer that structure to a release clause than the other way round
  3. 150 if we dont qualify for CL next season, 120 if we do. Motivate the fucker
  4. Scenario B - there is just no news, good or bad. NUFC dont manage to get in replacements and it slides by to the 2nd Sept without them accepting an offer
  5. agreed - far far less likely that he goes now, than it was three days ago IMHO. Interesting to see the bookies odds of him leaving softening today as well. Ironically, it may well be our board / leadership's lack of planning and competence in it's current state that is the reason for him throwing his rattle out of the pram and the reason he ultimately ends up staying
  6. I dont think so, they are too weak defensively and rely one holding midfielder. They have a horrible start & I have strong feeling the Jota tragedy might catch-up with them when life is supposed to get back to normal
  7. Stay or go, it's highly likely he is moving house after the robbery. Wouldnt read anything into it
  8. No - I think they expected the big cash to come from City & then they went with Haaland. I dont think Levy was going to let fan opinion stop him from getting the biggest fee
  9. no antagony other than yours. firmly believe Howe is at the point he believes he is better re investing in the squad at this stage & there is no way they are bidding on replacements without knowing there is a bid imminent and the ball park feee
  10. there has to be a ballpark made clear that buyer is happy with. No way we are going after sesko & wissa without that base knowledge
  11. My hunch is the isak fee has to be agreed and deal is subject to ins and outs at both clubs, stating the obvious but we can’t agree Wissa and Sesko and keep isak because we can’t agree a fee
  12. I reckon the fee is agreed in the background and it’s ducks in a row for both teams
  13. uefa won’t recognise the delta between the fee and what they deem as fair market value. Even if they are trying to punish they can’t argue anything below 120m IMHo
  14. yep - who for a parody account (to the best of my knowledge) has been far more accurate than our so called friends of the club the last few days
  15. not sure how relevant it is but bookies have it as 4/6 Liverpool, 6/4 us with virtually no change all day. reality is it’s 50/50 and no one knows what’s gonna happen
  16. it’s crass and a bit of an elephant in the room. obviously a tragedy no one wanted but from an accounting POV, it’s an huge injection into their PSR capabilities
