  1. Who's the idiot? Isak or Howe FWIW I dont think Howe will care where he goes nearly as much as we do. He has two options in front of him. Manage an unhappy player who could suck the joy out of a hugely cohesive squad with great moral, or lose him and have a wedge to re invest. You cannot convince me as he lands in Asia he doesnt want the later. One other factor, which I dont think Ive seen mentioned is Howe and Richard hughes (Their sporting director) worked together for years and years, I wouldnt be shocked if this move and the call last week doesnt have Howe's blessing
  2. Howe will undoubtedly want rid now, holding on screws everyone over. It’s done assuming a reasonable offer.
  3. i don’t think this is correct now; he has undermined Howe and the board. He has to go and we re invest, unless there is one hell of a grovel
  4. I reckon there’ll be a he doesn’t play that game clause, or at least gentleman’s agreement.
  5. That's a big leap, it's the club that has said he has a minor injury so far. Suspect it will become clearer in the next few days
  6. The fee doesnt matter - it's the freedom with PSR wriggle room that counts. £120 frees up a huge amount of spend if we want to do it.
  7. I have - you're assuming we cant spend it well. I dont buy that arguement - there is opportunity here for our squad to be stronger come 15th August with Isak sold as disappointing as that would be. I also firmly believe that Eddie howe backs himself and board to spend 200m well & would at this stage prefer that to keeping isak
  8. Im not suggesting a fee of 200m, but it frees up PSR to spend that kinda cash. This isnt rocket science
  9. You're missing the point. Whether it's 120 or 160m, it gives Howe circa 200m minimum to play with this summer. They key thing now is certainty asap - get rid or get him committed. Ideally by close of play tomorrow
  10. this is why fans dont own successful football clubs - it's roy of the rovers stufff
  11. We literally have the coutinho case study. Buy well now with 200 / 250 m and it will make us a stronger squad. it's a kick in the stones, but it's an opportunity howe will want.
  12. That is clear. His sale value would have been a lot lower than market value (insurance purposes) and it's immediate cash in the accounts.
  13. Stop obsessing re price. It's an ego thing. The key point is what it means for PSR. £120 tomorrow is worth far more than £150 to howe in 3 weeks time
  14. Cutthroat is making the decision to let him go tomorrow. Holding onto to him now out of spite is counter productive. The case study is Liverpool and coutinho
  15. could argue ekitike is the diaz replacement. He is capable of playing wide and liverpool used diaz through the centre a lot more than you expect
  16. this is the ideal scenario IMHO. Concern here is he starts feeling niggles a lot more, motivation is gone on and off the pitch. National team also has a plum WC qualifier draw and you can invisage a scenario where he becomes less and less available towards next summer
  17. They are also not paying for the rebuild of two stands anymore while making a fortune from them
  18. at a guess: Wissa, Sesko, CM, CB & trafford in nets People need to stop obsessing about the transfer fee, it's the PSR space it creates that's relevant to howe
  19. you'd rather walk away from signing 5 players? That's why fans make bad owners. Sell today & start building the squad
  20. Not sure who is at the auction, definitely not city, united, arsenal. Possible Chelsea & psg.
  21. For Howe (right now) the fee is almost irrelevent. Anything north of 90million will create at least 200m in terms of PSR wiggle room
