Do footballers really play too much football these days?

Recommended Posts

When I were a lad, I used to play every night for about 3 hours after school. Then on a weekend, I'd play from morning until night. Never did me any harm.

Today's players are a bunch of pansies. Proper men could get through a season's worth of games in a month and a half and still have time to creosote the fence.

After a proper competitive football match you're fucking knackered.
