We really need to cut this out of our game, the amount of times we make needless fouls and often in attacking positions is too much. Even more frustrating when the player fouled obviously has no chance of even reaching the ball anyway and when it reaches one of our players in a good position play is called back because of it.

We do it defending aswell and give away too many freekicks. Harsh to single them out as they didn't play today but this is talking on the whole and not just today but Smith and Butt are often guilty of it. I like players who get stuck in but sometimes these players need to think.

Agreed, we should be after "disciplined aggression", not the helter skelter variety that Smith especially specialises in.

I have a theory behind this, we give away so many fouls because we are often caught in possession individually or because our players dilly dally too much. The turning circle of our players is shocking. (Guickness of mind and feet) This is down to coaching this and where some are concerned, poor training (work out).

Not sure about that, I just think we take stupid risks fair to often when it comes to winning the ball back. Players like Smith just play to their reputation as "110% commitment" players and think they will win the crowd over if they throw themselves at everything.
