greydos
I'm going to try stay positive here Didn't Ashley state he wouldn't be blowing a huge wad on players as he was looking for investors so we could compete with the Chelsea's and now Man shitty's of this world? The target at the start of the season was top 8 and hopefully a european place, and yet people are surprised we've not bid for world class players! We need to wake up and smell the coffee, we have no european football to offer and do any of you think Robinho would have gone to city if they had finished 12th? We've got better players in than we could have expected and a promising striker and ok a loan midfielder, but who's to say he's not a great player as well. Think January will see us add right back and left back cover and maybe a right winger, but with the players off with injuries we don't look half bad! And who's to say we can't sort out some other loan deals before that? Pompey need to shed some players or at least wages so maybe get a defender from there to see us through till Jan. We need to walk before we can run people I'm pretty sure Ashley said "we've got the 5th highest wage bill in the league and so 5th is where we should be/will be aiming". He said something along those lines at the start of the summer after one of KK's earliest 'summit meetings'. I in turn, upon hearing the owner of my club, let myself hold a few ambitions for our club and signings. I, as others, have been let down by a poor transfer window. Alas, i'm resigned to floating around internet message boards as a drifting doomonger, my only solice knowing that there are a few other doomongers out there with me who will always look back on the summer of 2008 as when we lost the ability to be respected by other newcastle fans for venting our honest and reasonable feelings about the club we love. Ketsbaia
even though negativity on this forum gets slated by some people, here its entirely justified. in fact, i'd be disappointed if you weren't negative after that shambles of a deadline day. if we get lucky with injuries, we might survive til january......but this is newcastle united. the jinxed club. we're a mess and i guess whats happening with keegan and ashley is a results of this.
