Guest Synthespian
We as in NUFC fans and we as in, well, the world of football basically. When teams like Chelsea and Man City can buy whoever whenever, where does that leave clubs like Villa, Everton etc? Can these teams ever compete if they arnt owned by a multi billionaire who is willing to spend spend spend? IMO wage caps and transfer caps need to be put in place, and f***ing fast to stop them c***s at Man City. Don't forget that they were looking at Newcastle first, and the admitted that on Monday too. Ashley just wanted to be the one "in charge", and wouldn't sell. I bet that is part of the stuff that pissed Keegan off as well.
Kev
If you think of it in the long run, there is a premiership club being took over every year or two, with some funds. So clubs will always improve and it will be just as hard to get a decent finish. So if 8 teams were owned by billionnaires, then the top 8 would be great and interesting. Atm theres 5 or 6 teams who will challenge for a top 4 finish (Man u , chelsea , arsenal , liverpool , man city villa/spurs) Everton Portsmouth arnt far behind. By next season there will be 3 teams challenging for the league and probably 6 or 7 teams challenging for top 4. So i think it will be interesting to see how teams compete.
