I wonder if the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United would have such a massive fanbase if the last triumph was a cup over 50 years ago. Liverpool and Manure doesnt not have better supporters then we do, they are just like us, people with feelings and hopes. I think its a miracle that a club like Newcastle still can produce supporters when being s*** for such a long time. and still there is 45.000+ attending every f***ing game, even against s*** teams like West Bromwich on a cold f***ing freezing late October night. 1969 is 39 years ago, NOT "over 50" . . .
